I have ambivalent feelings about this show. somehow i sense a Bucaneers vibe, and that reeks.
ReplyDeleteMe too, the actor already annoys me just by watching the trailer and the females seems all random and modern like in Bucaneers.
ReplyDeleteIn Yahoo Entertainment the star (Voisin) boasted that the mekers prided themselves for eschewing period drama atmosphere. In order to attract younger audiences, they dressed the chef with modern fashions and turned him into a rock star like Mick Jagger and Lenny Kravitz. That not only reeks of Buccaneers, but it’s absurd. “Younger generation” (those born after 1990) don’t know who Lenny or Sir Mick are.
DeleteYes, I read that they went for Jagger and Kravitz because that is the first thing you think of in a costume drama LOL Wildly idiotic. I remember Voisin from that Balzac adaptation movie from a few years ago, seems to me like a bratty one.
DeleteDezmond vai ser boa essa série pra assistir, abraços boa quinta feira.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting if you like cooking and food.
DeleteIt looks too modern to be set in the 19th century. I guess this is just another storytelling project for the younger generation.
ReplyDeleteThey do them like that and then they always flop.
