As you all probably well remember your trusted spy was among the first ones to inform you about this one and then kept you informed throughout the years about

it, but now we can feast our eyes on our lieblings Jannis Niewohner in the brand new trailer from movie adaptation of HAGEN epic fantasy saga inspired by the Nibelung myths! THE STORY OF HAGEN EPIC TV SERIES
follows Burgundian weapons master Hagen von Tronje (Gijs Naber) who has his hands full ensuring that the kingdom does not collapse under the weight of many crises. As his dark past seems to become more and more apparent, he fights against his suppressed feelings for the king's daughter Kriemhild (Lilja van der Zwaag). And as if all that wasn't enough, the famous dragon slayer Siegfried von Xanten (Jannis Niewöhner) also shows up in Worms and causes a lot of chaos. But the new, young King Gunter (Dominic Marcus Singer) sees Siegfried as an opportunity to save the empire. His plan is for him to take the unpredictable Valkyrie Brunhild (Rosalinde Mynster) as his wife. When Kriemhild finally falls in love with Siegfried, Hagen has to make a decision. Is he following his heart or his responsibilities?

    1. Oh, please, you have seen him here millions of times and you always say you have not heard of him even though he is your most famous actor.

  2. Not really my genre. I'm too picky in the kinds of movies I like to watch I think.

    1. It does look a bit on the cheap side. But I would watch anything with Jannis.

    1. I thought they would show us the series this year, but it seems they will push into 2025. If we are any lucky maybe some world streamer buys it by then.

  4. I don't think it looks overly cheap, but like Malena, I'd rather watch a series.

  5. This sounds like something I'd enjoy watching. I'm enjoying House of the Dragon right now.

    1. House of Dragon is so atrociously bad, I quit after the fifth episode of the first season with that disgusting homophobic violence. I am very sad that the world watches that poorly written, terribly acted glorification of incest, violence and gore.

  6. I haven't seen HOD. I know it's fantasy but from what I've read it's loosely based on the English civil war The Anarchy. I'm not saying it was morally right but gay people did have a tough time of it in bygone times. It's going back more than a decade but I enjoyed BBC's Merlin despite some plot holes.

    1. It is not about crime against gays, but the way how the producers enjoy filming it and portraying it, you are disgusted by their homophobic approach, there is a scene in which the only gay character is beaten extremely vividly, head smashed onto the marble floor, beaten and beaten until his eyes pop out and fall out of his head. They gave such treatment only to a gay character, and even if he was not gay it would still be sick and unnecessarily gory, what we would call a torture porn. A sick show made by sick people.

    2. I began to watch House of the Dragon after the fifth episode, so I missed the murder of Joffrey Lonmouth. I do remember people calling it homophobic, although his character was not killed because of his sexual orientation nor was the last gory murder in the two seasons, but I hear you.
On the other hand, I would also speak of homophobia in Those About to Die. Domitian is one of the few roman Emperors who was not gay, not even bisexual, and he has the worst reputation among historians so even the tiniest rumor would have come to us.
I imagine it has to do with inclusiveness and diversity, but I find it questionable this turning the most despicable character in the show into a homosexual. We not only see Jo Jo Macri’s character omit heinous acts (having his brother murdered is the least of them) but he orders his lover’s tongue to be cut off and then throws poor Hermes to the crocodiles! I don’t mind gay villains (just like I don’t mind Jewish baddies) but having one that is a monstrous psychopath reeks of homophobia.

    3. It sure does! I haven't yet started Those About To Die, but now I am not looking forward to it so much.
