Oh, and thank you for your mention in the awards post about a week ago. I've been offline and unable to respond, but I certainly appreciate it!
@Lyndylove
ReplyDeleteyep, I love Pink too when she's lyrical and not overly epic :) Love her songs SOBER, JUST LIKE A PILL, DON'T LET ME GET ME, U AND UR HAND ...
Huge fan of Pink and I love Lady Gaga, too. Cool song choices, Dez. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post, Dezzy! I like that 'Secrets' song from One Republic and thanks for featuring that James Morrison song, haven't heard that one but it sure is nice. My Zumba instructor plays Pink's 'Raise Your Glass' and that never fails to energize me. Oh and Enrique Iglesias' 'I Like It' is pretty fun to dance to as well.
ReplyDelete@Melissa
ReplyDeleteglad you like it, and can't wait for Gaga's new album next month :)
@Flixy
Oh, I'm glad you like it, dahling! Did you know that Ryan Tedder from ONE REPUBLIC (who wrote SECRETS and ALL THE RIGHTS MOVES) actually wrote PLEASE DON'T STOP THE RAIN for James Morrison?
Bold and daring, Dezz!
ReplyDeleteBut I'd be disappointed if you conformed.

Good choices :)
I knew we do, Wendy dearest :) You should listen to HURTS too, I think you will love them :)
ReplyDeleteFunky-cool-spicy list ya got there! I'm a big Usher fan, so I'm happy to see a few of his songs on your list.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I've become a big fan of that song you recommended to me, Desert Rain by Edward Maya! My homies dig it too and I added it to my playlist. Big thanks!
Once again you've shown me how unwith it I am when it comes to modern entertainment trends. I am actually familiar with a few of these, but couldn't hum any of them (are songs still hummable?). Most however I don't know if I've heard or not. Very nicely presented list though.
ReplyDeleteMy list will be probably mostly songs that came out before you were born--oldies--but what else would you expect from me.

Tossing It Out
Keri Hilson is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat an assortment! I recognize them and that scares me a little at my age.
ReplyDeleteInteresting list, must say I don't listen to as much music as I once did so some I don't know.

Oh, you've got some great tunes on that list. If I would've chosen my favorite songs from the year, it would have been easy - good idea.
ReplyDeletewhile our movie and tv interest line up, our music interest diverge wildly. That is cool though.
ReplyDeleteGreat, rich list. Adam Lambert should have won AI. Who was the other guy?
ReplyDeletehaha, awesome. I love the way you break the rules! Great list!

@Jennie
we are all Gaga's little freaks :P
A little Pink and a lot of Lady Gaga - and you can't go wrong ;)
ReplyDeleteFemale vocalists ruled in 2010! Gaga, Kelly Rowland, P!nk, Alicia Keys - all amazing. Good to see Tinie Tempah on your list, too!
ReplyDelete@Elaine
ReplyDeletehe he that's the perfect recipe :)
@Cerebus
ah, that Tinie's song was absolutely amazing! Adore Turner's voice in the chorus!
A big list Dezmond. I can see you dancing around to some of these tunes. Great choices. James Morrison would be my pick from your list.
ReplyDeleteOn the upside, I've heard of most of these artists...unfortunately, I'm not familiar with these particular songs.
ReplyDeleteOverachiever! HAHA. Really awesome choices. Those are my favorite songs from Alicia Keys and Bruno Mars by far. I'm a huge fan of One Republic (though I'd have probably gone with Apologize) and I actually really like Gaga's Speechless, but it hasn't been mainstreamed yet. OH! And Pink is awesome. Have you heard her new one? Now those are some inspirational lyrics.
ReplyDeleteJust my opinion, but I think you should have saved this for the upcoming blogfest titled: "Top 30 Best Songs Of 2010".

ReplyDeleteAn interesting list. It seems all hip-hop, and I haven't listened to this since I was . . well a long time ago. I liked the Hurt song, and I really need to see what all the fuss is about Lady Gaga and Usher.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteGreat picks, though. I really do like "Bad Romance." As much as I tried to fight it.

ReplyDeleteI think with most of these I know I know them and I've likely heard them, but I can't place them mentally, ya know? I've a bit of a soft spot for Lady Gaga; I think she's the right shade of crazy that means I'm more interested in her music than I would be otherwise :)
