Already star studded cast of NEW YEAR'S EVE, which includes Robert De Niro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ashton Kutcher, Zac Efron, Jessica Biel, Michelle Pfeiffer, Taylor Swift, Halle Berry,
Sarah Jessica Parker, Frankie Muniz, Jon Bon Jovi, Til Schweiger, Sofía Vergara, Hilary Swank, Abigail Breslin... has just added three more names - Josh Duhamel, Ice Cube and Ryan Seacrest. The romantic film will follow the intertwining stories of several New York City residents as they navigate through the New Year's Eve holiday. According to "MovieWeb" Josh Duhamel will play one of the lead characters, a hopeless romantic who is looking for a date to a New Year's Eve party. He has an ulterior motive, though, as he is really trying to connect with a mystery woman at last year's party.
The angels in ABC's new CHARLIE'S ANGELS show have been cast: Rachael Taylor will play the youngest Angel, Abby, the daughter of a white-collar criminal and a skilled con artist. Annie Ilonzeh portrays Kate, an ex-cop and martial arts master. Minka Kelly will play Marisa, a former Marine and weapons expert, who is also a neat freak. Gorgeous girls, hope they can act, I can't take my eyes off the pictures above :)
SHORT HEADLINES Judi Dench will officially play the big boss M in the new JAMES BOND film. Young Saoirse Ronan (THE LOVELY BONES) has officially joined THE HOBBIT in the unknown role.
Now this is strange, among Eric Bana, Tom Hardy and many other big names in Hollywood, Timur Bekmambetov has chosen rather unknown and muscly (click to see yourself) Benjamin Walker (FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, mostly known as the fiancé of actress Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s oldest daughter) to play the American president in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER the adaptation of Seth Grahame Smith's novel which shows Lincoln fighting the forces of the undead during the Civil War.
Yes. Judi Dench is the best M in the Bond series in my opinion. She was made for this role, practically.
ReplyDeletehmmm for all that I love Taylor Swift, I'm not sure she should keep trying to be in movies... and if New Year's Eve is a continuation of Valentine's Day... I don't like that Jennifer Garner isn't in this one.
ReplyDeleteMinka Kelly was on Friday Night Lights. Not the best actress, but I think she's gotten a little better over the years. I probably won't watch a Charlie's Angel's remix though.
Couldn't take my eyes off those Benjamin Walker pics under the jump. He's going to be a sexy Abe, which is not something one associates with the 16th president. Then again, there's vampires. ;) Still, Eric Bana would have been awesome choice...
ReplyDeleteI loved the Angels' movies they did and look forward to seeing the show. They certainly have created interesting characters. I hope these ladies can carry off their roles.
Interesting casting choices all around.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see how Charlie's Angels turns out.

Thoughts in Progress

ReplyDeleteHi DEZMOND - I'm looking forward to the Charlie's Angels show. The "girls" and the girls are adorable. I'm with you - hope they can act! xoxo
ReplyDelete@Jaccsy
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see Judi as Bond herself - the first female 007 granny :))
@Kristin
Minka seems very beautiful, but I don't watch teen shows, so I don't know how was her acting in FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, hope she's good enough.
@Melissa
our little Benji really is a hulk, isn't he :) especially in those tight theater costumes from that pic :)))
@Alex
ReplyDeleteinteresting indeed
@Masy
it will!
@Vics
it's now official :)
@RaShelle
yes, hope they can act, and hope the show will be well written.
Judi Dench is a great choice for M
ReplyDeleteIndeed she is ;)
ReplyDeleteAbraham Lincoln fighting vampires? OMG! I certainly HOPE it's a comedy!
ReplyDelete'tis not, Philly, 'tis true :)
ReplyDeletequite a blog. I maybe looking forward for the new charlie's angels series
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cool ;) ANGELS should be cool too!
ReplyDeleteI love Judi Dench - she's awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's one heck of a cast....
ReplyDeleteAs much as I like the perverse concept of Abraham Lincoln hunting vampires, one has to wonder what comes next--JFK Zombie Slayer? The weirdness has no end.
ReplyDelete@Jemi
ReplyDeletewe love her too :)
@Andrew
a long one ...
@Arlee
some US presidents are turning in their graves, but you can't say most of them didn't deserve some mocking irony :)
Cute angels
ReplyDelete...recently finished "Vampire Hunter." Loved it up to the climatic finish. Was nonetheless, very believable, and will be looking forward to watching it on the big screen:)
ReplyDeleteEL
@Avalon
ReplyDeletethey're cute, aren't they?
@Elliot
glad you're excited about the project, Elliot ;)
I love Judi Dench! She's the best.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think it's interesting that they are giving an unknown the part in a big movie.
Judi really is the "bestest" of the best :)
ReplyDeleteUgh, suffice to say I'll be skipping New Year's Eve just like I did Valentine's Day. But YAY for dame Judi Dench back as M, she's the best portraying that character IMO.
ReplyDeleteah, unlike you I'd never skip a good romcom :) especially with many parallel stories :)
ReplyDeleteI would give my first born child to be Benjamin Walker's hair grease!
ReplyDeleteyou will kill me one of these days, Falsy :)
ReplyDeleteYes, those are nice looking girls chosen for Charlie's Angels.
ReplyDeleteThis could be interesting "new" TV series. I wonder how much does ABC plan to invest in this? Show such as this could really benefit from various and exotic looking settings, or even from some interesting guest-stars.
they are pretty, them angels, aren't they :) Hope the production will be great. I hope the same for WONDER WOMAN too.
