1ST ROBIN HOOD SERIES
IMAGE WITH SEAN BEAN AND CONNIE NIELSEN
Straight from the sets in Serbia comes first image from MGM+ new epic TV series ROBIN HOOD of Sean Bean as Sheriff of Nottingham and Connie Nielsen as queen Eleanore of Aquitane. Following the Norman invasion of England, Rob (Jack Patten), a Saxon forester’s son, and Marian
(Lauren McQueen)
the daughter of a Norman lord, fall in love and work together to fight
for justice and freedom. As Rob rises as the leader of a band of rebel
outlaws, Marian infiltrates the power at court, as both work together to
thwart royal corruption and bring peace to the land. Tom Mison also stars as Rob's father with Graeme Thomas King as Prince John! It will stream on Stan in Australia.

This one is not for me.
ReplyDeleteI would have been surprised and utterly shocked, and possibly mildly scandalised, if it was.
DeleteLMAO!
DeleteMary really does not like anything, history especially.
DeleteThere have been numerous versions of the Robin Hood out there already..why do they keep filming it?
ReplyDeleteThere was just one not so recent series, at least 20 years ago and two films.
DeleteThis is a story I'm tired of them rehashing. I like Bean, but even if I had MGM+, I'd probably pass on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat, you are not interested to see how Serbia turned out in it?
DeleteWe actually had Sean Bean visit our bookstore while shooting it here, he wanted a book for reading, so they kindly gave him some and also our Nobel prize winner Ivo Andric's Bridge on the Drina for free.
DeleteYou get refined people visiting you. We just had Rob Schneider eat in our town just a few weeks ago. I'd prefer more upper crust performers like Bean over Rob, but we get what we get, I suppose. When Notre Dame starts back up, we do hear about some celebs coming to the campus. Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn, Bon Jovi were some of the bigger names in recent years... Regis Philbin was a staple here when he was alive. Figures they'd give a book away free to one who can afford to pay for it. I never understood the logic of giving rich celebs free stuff.
DeleteThey gave it to him because it is our book in English, and as a present for coming to their store, but he did pay the other English stuff he bought.
