SEE ZACHARY LEVY IN SARAH'S OIL TRAILER FOR THE PERIOD SET TRUE STORY MOVIE ON ONE OF THE FIRST AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE MILLIONAIRES IN USA

  SARAH'S OIL TRAILER
BASED ON A MOVING TRUE STORY
Looks like an Oscar contender to me if they forgive them for casting Zachary Levi in it.  SARAH'S OIL a powerful true story based historical drama
Sarah's Oil is out in cinemas this November
from Cyrus Nowrasteh just got its brilliant first trailer ahead of the November 7th launch in the cinemas. It is the remarkable true story of Sarah Rector (Naya Desir Johnson), an African American girl born in Oklahoma Indian Territory in the early 1900s, who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she's allotted and whose faith is proven right. As greedy oil sharks close in, Sarah turns to her family, friends, and some Texas wildcatters to maintain control of her oil-rich land, eventually becoming among the nation's first female African American millionaires at eleven years old. Check out the trailer below:

    1. He is such a lovely actor, too bad the studios will not give him jobs because he is not liberal.

  3. Nice of them to highlight more African American history, especially the one's involving women. It's sadly something we don't get here in the states. I've never heard of her before, but I am glad to see more films bringing these stories to light. I recently watched Hidden Figures and The Six Triple Eight and it's a sad reminder of how much not only African American history, but women led history at that, has been swept under the rug for generations.

    1. And it is even worse for Native Americans.

    2. Indeed. And so many of their women go missing and nobody is out looking for them. It's just a sad fact that society sees different races and genders as being less than worthy of protecting or celebrating.
