day blockade of hero city Leningrad. The Siege of Leningrad (today's Saint Petersburg) is one of the deadliest blockades of a city in human history. Nazi troops encircled the city two and a half months into the invasion of the Soviet Union at the height of the war, trapping everyone inside with no food, no resources, and no escape. Nearly a million civilians died – mostly from starvation. But while this is a story about brutality and profound suffering, it is also a story about human resilience, and about astonishing acts of grace and courage. Leningraders protected their families, defended the besieged city, and they turned to the arts, defying all odds to somehow create masterpieces, even while enduring unthinkable strife.

I am not a fan of Dwayne Johnson...I switched it off whenever I see his film on TV...LENINGRAD is more interesting. My husband has been watching Sweet Tooth and he thinks it's very good.ReplyDelete
I'm thinking of starting Sweet Tooth myself tonight.Delete
Me encantó el post, gracias por compartirlo. BesosReplyDelete
The posters are so fun! I am really looking forward to Jungle Cruise. The Rock and Emily should be really fun to watch together.ReplyDelete
And Whitehall with them too! I'm waiting to see if it will save the summer.Delete
Have a feeling you'll be watching Jungle Cruise when it comes out because it keeps poppin' up on your blog 🙂ReplyDelete
It brings me the most visits for some reason, obviously their studio pays a lot for marketing LOL The previous post on the film is still my second best visited currently even though it was posted months ago. I also had thousands of visitors from Sweden for about a month, but I am guessing that was because of that Queen Margrete movie post. French people also like it when I mention their projects. Russians too. Italians and Spaniards are extremely lazy in that respect and so are Brits.Delete
How interesting! 😉 Well, that explains it! 👍🏻Delete
I am sure you follow your stats regularly as well and act accordingly lolDelete
I'm reallllyyyy excited for Jungle Cruise. The more you post about it, the more anxious I am to see it.ReplyDelete
Well, there is not much else to watch this summer and if anything can save cinemas this is it.Delete
