The story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful, all female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity. Daniel Henney and Josha Stradowski also star.
Wheel of Time will start this November |
MICHELLE MONAGHAN TO LEAD
And her lead role will be dual! In mystery thriller series ECHOES Michelle Monaghan will play identical twins Leni and Gina, who share a dangerous secret. Since they were children, Leni and Gina secretly have swapped lives, culminating in a double life as adults: They share two homes, two husbands and a child, but everything in their perfectly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing. Born identical twins, each sister is unique; Leni is the sister that is content to stay home, marry her childhood sweetheart, raise her daughter and help run the beautiful horse farm where everyone lives together rooted in their long shared history. Gina is the rebellious sister that turned her back on all that and escaped to Los Angeles where she rose to quick fame writing about a darker undertow that informed her Southern childhood.
THE BIRTH OF DANIEL F. HARRIS
CHANNEL 4 REVEALS CAST
Production has started on Channel 4's coming-of-age drama THE BIRTH OF DANIEL F. HARRIS.
The eight part, half hour drama will see
Lewis Gribben starring as Danny, an 18 year old whose mother was killed in
a car accident when he was a baby. Overwhelmed with grief, his dad Steve (Rory Keenan) bought a house in the middle of nowhere and locked Danny in, telling him the world outside was full of monsters waiting to take him away. Just like they took his mum.
For 18 years they lived a happy existence together, listening to Benny Goodman records and watching old movies with no sad endings. And that’s how Danny grew up. It was all he knew, all he needed - him and his dad against the world. But when Danny turns eighteen, everything he’s ever known explodes in an instant.
Danny is taken to live with his well meaning but stressed out aunt Sue (Lisa McGrillis) and cousin Aaron (Samuel Bottomley) who is a shy and awkward eighteen year old, desperately in need of a friend, but his very strange cousin definitely wasn’t
who he had in mind.
While Aaron grew up watching YouPorn and YouTube, Danny was raised on a diet of The Lavender Hill Mob and Brief Encounter. Living with Danny is a massive eye opener for Aaron, seeing the world through his strange cousin’s eyes. And slowly, tentatively, both Danny and Aaron start to emerge from their shells together - as Danny tries to find the real monster, the one that killed his mother!

I'll have to give Echoes a shot because that sounds interesting to me.
ReplyDeleteShould be really good!
DeleteTHE BIRTH OF DANIEL F. HARRIS sounds good to me..unfortunately it's not on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, Deezy!
It is not, but BBC is distributing worldwide, so maybe someone will buy it in Deutchland.
DeleteNovember seems like when they tend to air the epic projects.
ReplyDeleteThese all sound good in their own right. I think I'm looking forward to Echos most though.
Yes, we will have Wheels in November and Witcher in December, something to look forward too after such a looooong draft.
DeleteWhile I really like Rosamund Pike, not into fantasy stories or when movies are set in the old times 😏
ReplyDeleteMichelle Monaghan's show sounds bizzare, honestly 🤷♂️
I think both sound really interesting, love me some fantasy and old times more than anything.
DeleteThe Wheel of Time is something that we'd watch on Prime. They're predicting it will be that big of a hit that they already ordered a second season?
ReplyDeleteProbably because it was so expensive it would be crazy to just leave it on one season LOL But then again BBC invested tons of money into His Dark Materials and ordered three seasons but it was a massive flop.
