Hughes. In the second season, which will air on
BritBox and
PBS Masterpiece, Tom Weston Jones (whom we enjoy currently in Warrior and Shadow and Bone shows) will portray Colonel Francis Lennox, who will be vying for Charlotte’s (
Rose Williams) affections, facing competition from
Ben Lloyd Hughes as a mysterious new resident with a complex family history.
Alexander Vlahos will play flamboyant artist Charles Lockhart, who arrives to paint portraits of Sanditon‘s wealthy elites, while
Frank Blake joins the cast as courageous Captain Declan Fraser.
Rosie Graham will play Alison Heywood, the younger sister to Charlotte, who quickly becomes acquainted

Darling Buds of May. The heartwarming series, set in the idyllic countryside follows the charming farming couple and their family, including daughter Mariette (
Sabrina Bartlett) and her lover Charley (
Tok Stephen). Their house is always filled with love, laughter, mischief and good hearty food! The series will premiere this Autumn.

ReplyDeleteWith that and the new season of All Creatures Great and Small, we will have something wholesome to watch.
DeleteAbout time for that. I am so missing shows like The Durrells and even Downton Abbey. I wish they would at least bring Durrells back. I didn't love how Louisa moved away and didn't end up with Spiros because of the war. They should do a movie or two like Downton Abbey did and wrap up a happy ending with a bow.
DeleteWhile I realize the real family never went back to Corfu after the war, I like me some happy endings. I mean, they are changing history in every other damn story, so why not this one LOL.
DeleteI wouldn't really like Luisa with Spiros as he has family. I think All Creatures are repeating on PBS so you can probably catch that one there.

I think he went to try it again with his wife as they have dozens of kids. She made it even when she had a fling with Louisa's uncle.

ReplyDeleteYou would fall in love with it! I watched it as a kid and positively adored it, it is so feelgood and wholesome. Catherine Zeta Jones played the daughter in the old series. It is sad that we live in a world which no longer produces such innocent, delightful family shows.
