  ZACHARY LEVI JOINS
SARAH GADON'S 'ALIAS GRACE'
After the massively exciting Comic Con weekend with tons of mind blowing new trailers, we're starting the week lightly with some television news, starting with an info coming from Netflix and CBC historical mini series ALIAS GRACE which has just teamed up Zachary Levi with leading star Sarah Gadon.
Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel ALIAS GRACE tells the true story of the controversial conviction of Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon), an Irish immigrant who becomes a Canadian domestic servant and is later sentenced to prison for the murders of her employer and his housekeeper in 1843. It is not yet know whom will Levi play.

  'PHOENIX RISING' REMAKE
OF 'CAPTAIN POWER' SERIES
In sf TV news, 1980's sf show Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future will get its new TV series remake titled PHOENIX RISING which picks up 15 years after humanity has lost a devastating war against an artificial intelligence called Overmind. Jonathan Power, the son of the man who caused that war, learns the truth about his father and discovers a new type of battle armour that will enable a small, mismatched team of soldiers and civilians to fight the Bionic armies of the New Order.
FELISHA TERRELL IN 'ROADSIDE PICNIC'
Over at WGN America, Felisha Terrell has joined Matthew Goode in ROADSIDE PICNIC sf series about a near future world where aliens have come and gone, leaving humankind to explore the wondrous and dangerous mysteries left behind.  Matthew Goode is Red, a veteran “stalker” who has made it his mission to illegally venture into the once inhabited zone and scavenge the abandoned remains of the alien culture. Terrell will play his wife Guta, a tough, street wise woman who never fell to the trappings of her beauty. She tries her best to normalize their family life in the complicated situation they are dealt with.

  1. Incorporated sounds like a scary future world. Interesting to see shows/movies/series about the future because it makes me think about the present. :)

  5. I'm looking forward to "Alias Grace" because I'm a fan of Margaret Atwood, although I've never read this particular book of hers. It was a huge bestseller in Canada though.
