TO STAR IN DR 'JEKYLL' MOVIE?
While Russell Crowe recently got signed by Universal to play their Dr. Jekyll, in their monsters franchise movie THE MUMMY with Tom Cruise, 'Deadline' reports that Lionsgate is preparing their own JEKYLL movie and they've already got Chris Evans to play the lead!
Their movie will, apparently, be the big screen adaptation of recent
JEKYLL British BBC series in which James Nesbitt played the modern
version of the doctor with split personality who lives in a fortified
basement with a psychiatric nurse as his ally. She watches him transform
into an alter ego who rages, shows heightened strength and speed and
can be a charming, flirtatious scoundrel as well. The two personalities
try to co-exist, even though one doesn’t remember what the other does
while in control of the body. They use a micro cassette to leave
messages for each other.

Meanwhile, according to fresh rumours, coming over from 'The Wrap', Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt,
two of our absolute faves, could be
starring together for the third time after Devil Wears Prada and Into
the Woods! Streep is, allegedly, negotiating to join Disney's sequel
MARY POPPINS RETURNS in which Blunt plays the lead role! What is more
interesting Into the Woods helmer Rob Marshall is directing this one as
well! Also starring Lin Manuel Miranda as lamplighter Jack, and set in
depression era London, the movie will follow the grown up Banks children
as they get a visit from the umbrella flying nanny after a family
tragedy.

this September on the Isles in which Michael Landes plays a maverick adventurer Hooten while Ophelia Lovibond is Lady Alexandra, a
brave history expert. Together they travel the Globe searching for hidden treasures Indiana Jones style. Gorgeous Olivia Grant from INDIAN SUMMERS and Jane Seymour also star.

We watched about 3/4 of the BBC series of Jekyll but it was just too weirdly paranormal and far-fetched for us and we quit. James Nesbitt, however, was sexy and fabulous in the title role. I'm sure Chris Evans will be too.

DeleteOh no I would have grabbed two trays. One as a shield and the other to throw at that bitch's cross bow wielding face. Don't aim that shit at me! Sorry but the last cassette based situation that interested me were my own and Quill's on GOTG. Good luck on that Jekyll thing Chris, sounds like you might need it.
