DANIEL CRAIG TO FALL FOR DREW STARKEY
Well, who wouldn't fall for Drew Starkey, right? But in Luca Guadagnino's new movie QUEER it will be Daniel Craig having extreme hots for the gorgeous hunkster. Based on William S Burroughs's classic 1985 novel it will see Craig playing an outcast American expat named Lee who recounts his life in Mexico City among American expatriate college students 
and bar owners surviving on part-time jobs and GI Bill benefits. There he becomes obsessed with a discharged American Navy serviceman and drug user named Allerton, played by Drew Starkey. The cast also has Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman and Henry Zaga.

Not a fan of Daniel Craig...didn't even want to watch his James Bond.
ReplyDeleteI am not either, not just that he does not look like Bond should, but he is also a godawful actor, and a bit on a fugly side too. But he is bisexual privately as well, so will fit this role I guess. They could have found some better papucitto for Drew who is wildly handsome.

DeleteI don't get the appeal. My brother overdosed on heroin last summer. Died on the table. Came back to life. His attending nurse got the hots for him and decided he'd be dating material. Like, what!? You would think a nurse would be smarter than dating a drug addict, but apparently she's off her rocker too. (Don't think the relationship lasted more than a few months though since he's back to living in the homeless shelter a few towns over).
DeletePeople tend to fall for people with a problem because you feel you will be the one to be their cure. On the other hand maybe she really had sexual hots for him or is desperate? I often like to say life is not a film where you get them new ones one after one. In life often nobody ever approaches you and you don't get much or any chances for love so you get what is offered.
DeleteMakes sense. It's like those women who send love letters to men in prison. Must be some kind of savior complex. For me though, I think I'd be good being alone forever after Jason. I have enough problems, I don't need to add more into my life from somebody else.
DeleteYes, saviour complex exactly, plus women like problems LOL and will come up with one where there is no one at hand LOL On the other hand, there are also men who are attracted to violent woman bad for them and would not settle with a calm one. Guess it is all hormones.
