HUGH JACKMAN TO PLAY 'APOSTLE PAUL' IN BIBLICAL EPIC MOVIE! 'THE 33' CHILEAN MINERS MOVIE TRAILER WITH ANTONIO BANDERAS, RODRIGO SANTORO, JULIETTE BINOCHE

HUGH JACKMAN GOES BIBLICAL
IN 'APOSTLE PAUL' EPIC FILM
In the spirit of the Easter week here's something Biblical for you and I don't mean just Hugh Jackman's muscles of Biblical proportions: the Australian superstar is apparently, as 'Deadline' reports, attached to star in a Biblical epic APOSTLE PAUL which he will also produce together with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

Also known as Saul of Tarsus APOSTLE PAUL crossed over to speak to the Romans and preach the word. He was converted on the Road to Damascus when Christ came to him and he was blinded by a white light. He was blinded until a man named Ananias prayed and restored his eyesight. Paul became one of the most important messengers of Jesus and the founder of many churches! Hugh Jackman will also be back as WOLVERINE III for the last time in March 2017.

 'THE 33' MINING DISASTER
TRAILER WITH ANTONIO BANDERAS, RODRIGO SANTORO
Speaking of miracles, the first international trailer has been released for Antonio Banderas movie THE 33 on the tragic mining drama that happened in Chile five years ago. After the soil collapsed into the mine the miners spent over two months waiting to be taken out while the whole world watched. Antonio Banderas portrays a miner who becomes trapped on the last day before his retirement with the stellar cast also including Lou Diamond Phillips, Juliette Binoche, Gabriel Byrne and Rodrigo Santoro!

  1. The 33 looks interesting (fascinating story), but is the "trapped on the last day before his retirement" aspect true? It sounds like a horrible Hollywood cliche, and the true story is fascinating enough without it.

    1. I've no idea if it is true, but it might be, life can be so cruel to many people

  2. I agree with Bob R Milne -- "trapped on the last day before retirement" sounds like a tip-off that this character will die, according to the standard cliché.

And Hugh Jackman as St Paul? St Paul was an extremist who swung from one extreme to the other and whose bigotry against women and anyone who enjoyed sex left an ugly mark on Christianity that plagues it til this day.

    1. You reckon they will make him a bad person in the film then?

  3. I can truly say, I have never thought of the Wolverine as a biblical character!

  4. I always get nervous when Hollywood gets old of a religious topic. They have a built-in audience if they follow the script. DeMille remembered that when he made the epic film The Ten Commandments. Certainly he took some liberties, but he was careful and remembered the source material. Anymore, they don't care if it makes people who actually read the book are comfortable with their "artistic license". lol

  6. Everything is getting biblical these days but I like this story and bring me some Hugh Jackman indeed.

Hope the mining movie does right by the miner's true story.

  7. While Paul is a fabulous person in history with a fascinating story, I'm not sure I want to watch a movie about him... I've yet to see a good biblical movie.

    1. I wonder what happened to them after the event. Did they get tons of money?

    2. I don't know what happened. You know how our media is. They sensationalize what's going on now, but never provide follow ups. I hope they did get lots of money. What an ordeal to live through!

    3. I remember spicy stories when it was discovered that some of the miners have more than one wife :)
