BIBLICAL THRILLER MARY
SETS ANTHONY HOPKINS AS KING HEROD
While we are waiting to see him this summer as Roman emperor in Those About to Die epic series, Anthony Hopkins has already found a gig of King Herod in MARY Biblical thriller which stars Noa Cohen in the title role. DJ Caruso directs the film in which Mary is shunned following the otherworldly conception of her child and forced into hiding. King Herod’s relentless drive to maintain power at any cost ignites the murderous pursuit of the newborn child that he believes is a threat to his reign on the throne. The film sees the young Mary and Joseph on the run and having to hide their baby, Jesus, at all costs. The film has already been shot in Morocco.
I like Hopkins, I like mythology, so I'll probably watch this movie, but when will it premiere? Because I see on IMDB that the film is in post-production. And by the way, he's been making a lot of films lately, despite his age.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't set the premiere date yet, it has just finished shooting in Africa.
DeleteI thought he was to retire like 5 years ago. Nice to see he’s still cranking out movies despite his advanced age.
ReplyDeleteHe obviously changed his mind and they do give him fun roles lately. How can you refuse a royal or imperial role?
DeleteYou most certainly can’t refuse!
DeleteNope, never.
