SEE FIRST SET IMAGES OF JOSH O'CONNOR AND PAUL MESCAL IN WW1 HISTORICAL ROMANTIC FILM THE HISTORY OF SOUND

   THE HISTORY OF SOUND
1ST LOOK AT JOSH O'CONNOR & PAUL MESCAL
We are opening the new week with first set photos of two gay icons Josh O'Connor and Paul Mescal in their new period set drama movie THE HISTORY OF SOUND in which they play two young men during World War I who set out to record the lives, voices and music of their American countrymen. In this snatched, short-lived moment in their young lives, and while discovering the epic sweep of the U.S., both men are deeply changed. This historical romantic drama film, directed by Oliver Hermanus (whose Mary & George costume drama you are currently watching over at Starz), is based on the short story of the same name by Ben Shattuck.

  1. I like those3-piece-suits. We have watched a lot of series and films about ww2, but very few about ww1. Would definitely watch it if available to us over here.

    1. They were very pretty with those caps too. It is interesting that, since there were no synthetics back in those days, most of the fabrics were hell to maintain, so you had to iron these suits literally every morning to look presentable.

  2. I always thought those caps a bit sexy. But I’d hate to live in those times if I had to iron a suit every freaking day!

    1. Yes, and no good detergents or electrical irons.
