IN THE EPIC SERIES
Moore plays Mary Villiers,
Countess
of Buckingham, who in 17th Century England moulded her beautiful son,
George, to seduce King James I and become his all-powerful lover.
Through outrageous scheming, the pair rose from humble beginnings to become one of the richest, most titled, and influential mother and
sons
England had ever seen. And with England’s place on the world stage under
threat from a Spanish invasion and rioters taking to the streets to
denounce the King, the stakes could not have been higher.
I wonder if the Kardashian's mom took a page out of her book to use your kids to become influential and powerful. It does look delightfully sinful!
ReplyDeleteI am very much excited! Especially about seeing Laurie Davidson whom I adore.
DeleteNot a royal fan, but I might watch it because of Moore.
ReplyDeleteIt will be on Sky in Germany.
DeleteJulianne Moore's "English" accent didn't sound too bad in the clip. Among American actresses Gillian Anderson (spent some time in the UK as a child I believe) does a decent English accent as does Meryl Streep. But then I only notice when non-British people do dodgy English accents but on the whole I don't pick up
ReplyDeleteon British people do odd American accents (well maybe Hayley Mills when she was a child star though Americans seemed to like her
portrayal of Polyanna et al).
Gillian Anderson is actually British and I think both her acting and her accent sound extremely fake as if she is acting it, not natural at all, it sounds like some mediocre actress trying to fake posh British RP. Keira Knightley sounds also like that to me.
