COPERNICUS SECRETS
A NEW HISTORICAL ADVENTURE MOVIE
A co production comes from Poland, Croatia and Finland in the form of historical movie COPERNICUS SECRETS about famous 15th century scientist Nicola Copernicus who was an intellectual giant, whose vision had a tremendous effect on modern science. Copernicus, born in 1473, was a Polish astronomer who proposed that the Earth and other planets revolve around the Sun. But the film, written by Teodor Kosch, won’t be a typical biographical film as it will also show the divisions between the Eastern and Western world, revealing old feuds, provoked by different interests of empires whose traditions are now being continued. In outlining these mechanisms, the film won’t shy away from showing the process of falsification of history.
Why does he look like he belongs on the cover of a dystopian YA novel?
ReplyDeleteThat is how they are trying to sell it to us I guess, hope they cast some nice young Polish hunk not this horrible Chalamet lookalike.
DeleteYes, Chalamet is who this guy looks like. I knew the face bothered me for some reason, I just couldn't pinpoint it.
DeleteHe is beyond terrible, cannot stand him.
DeleteI bet it's good if one enjoys historical movies.
ReplyDeleteShould be very fun, he is a huge part of European heritage.
DeleteThe film will therefore be interesting. I'm waiting and I'm really intrigued. The figure of Copernicus is ambiguous and difficult to pigeonhole.
ReplyDeleteHope they will find some nice actor of yours for the lead role. Polish boys are usually crazy gorgeous.
DeleteOnly Copernicus was not beautiful! In the 1972 film version, he was portrayed by Andrzej Kopiczynski. :)
DeleteWell, we could say that almost noone was beautiful in the ugly 70s LOL
