GOLD OF UMALTA
RUSSIAN WESTERN MOVIE TRAILER
I mean it is not really a Western, but it is a Russian form of it: we have a fun first trailer for their new historical adventure romp GOLD OF UMALTA (Золото
Умальты) which should storm into Russian cinemas April 4th with Mikhail Gorevoy, Wolfgang Czerny, Artem Tkachenko, Pavel Derevyanko, Alexander Samoilenko, Denis Kuznetsov, Dmitry Khasis, Daulet Abdygaparov, Natalia Valkovich in the cast.
Movie is out this April |
The action takes place in pre-revolutionary Petrograd in 1916-1917, as
well as in the cities and towns on the
Umalta River, where gold mining was carried out. Robbers in shaman masks
attack a convoy and steal 40 pounds of gold. A St. Petersburg gold
miner blames the tribe of nomadic Tungus, recruits a squad of thugs to
return the stolen goods and take revenge, but he is not the only one who
has plans for gold. The main character is a detective who is
investigating the robbery of a gold convoy coming from a mine. The gold
miner Bulygin and the vicious beauty Sonya Zolotoy Popok are involved in
the theft.
A Russian western about gold? It must be interesting!
ReplyDeleteIt should be fun methinks.
DeleteNot for me but I'm sure others will like it.
ReplyDeleteHow delightful
DeleteThat just feels like a whole contradiction, a Russian western. I am always intrigued by the music they choose to use for their trailers. It seems so upbeat, even when you see a man dead laying in blood filled snow.
ReplyDeleteThey have brilliant music, and I love both Russian and Ukrainian music stars.
