MARCO POLO WILL SAIL ONTO THE BIG SCREENS

As HOLLYWOOD SPY has reported last year, the Marco Polo movie really is in preparation, but it will be more of a fantasy-adventure instead of a biopic following the famous 13th century Venice merchant who traveled with his father and uncle through Asia for 24 years at the time when the Mongol empire of Kublai Khan stretched all the way into Eastern Europe. Francis Lawrence ("I Am Legend")is going to direct this big budgeted project for Warner Bros. Adam Cooper who wrote the story and will adapt it into script said that they "see this project as something that takes place in the Orient of our imagination amid the cultural clash of the East and the West".
