Check out a new trailer for the remake of famous FOOTLOSE which premieres this October following Ren MacCormack (Kenny
Wormald) who is transplanted from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister's troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.
what is kate beckinsale known for? van helsing or something?
ReplyDeleteFor UNDERWORLD saga :) although I do think she was marvelous in VAN HELSING, which I loved totally since I love Stephen Sommers.
ReplyDeleteFootloose remake? That should be interesting.
ReplyDeleteAre you a fan of the original Footloose Dezzy? I can't even remember if I saw it. I like the posters that've been released but not excited for the movie.
ReplyDelete@Inverse
ReplyDeleteit should :)
@Flixy
if I remember correctly I hated the original :) I preferred FLASHDANCE to all other dance films of that era.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Magic Mike and Danger Girl can team up for a sequel. :PP
ReplyDeleteThey're remaking Footloose? Why? Don't they know there must always be six degrees of Kevin Bacon?
ReplyDeleteThe remake of Footloose makes me feel old...
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of DANGER GIRL. Good choices for the actresses.
Another Footloose? Did the world need a new one?
ReplyDeleteHot female action heroes? I'm in. Is there going to be brief nudity?..lol
ReplyDeleteremake ? going to be interesting :P
ReplyDeleteI'm with Lynda. The remake of Footloose makes me feel old too. Looks like they left some things in and changed others (of course). The music will probably be a lot different too. :(

I loved the old Footloose movie and can't wait to see this modern version.
ReplyDeleteDanger Girl seems fun, but i don't have much interest in a footloose remake. I see no reason for one
ReplyDeleteDanger Girl will be great if they leave the overt sexuality out of it and make them total badasses. Milla and Kate know how to kick ass, Sofia, I love her, but I can't see her laying down explosives or firing an assault rifle. Then again, she may surprise me. :)
ReplyDeleteOh god I really want to pull my eye balls out when I see footloose!! Why would they do such a thing?
ReplyDeleteNice pictures again Dezzy.. :-)
Danger Girl and vampires in the jungle for me then.
ReplyDeleteDanger Girl should be directed by Stephen Sommers, starred by Beckinsale, Rachel Weisz and Emily Blunt. And that would be the spiciest film ever, right? ;)
ReplyDeletetime to declare the death of originality in hollywood. ugh.
ReplyDelete@Reilly
ReplyDeletethere's quite a lot of her in that pic above :P
@Luanne
now, that's a great idea, spoken like a true genius and plotter, Luanne :)
@Dianne
six degrees of Kevin Bacon? What does that mean? :)
@Lyndy
ah, if you with your 22 years feel old, what should we 24 years old people say :)))
@Libby
ReplyDeletethat's an age old question :)
@Powdered
brief? No. Nudity? Probably :)
@Sylar
it is!
@Mason
yep, every generation has its own music
Milla Jovovich has the coolest look. I think it's the eyes... :)
ReplyDelete@Clarissa
ReplyDeletethat's the spirit, sister!
@Dirty
there's pretty much no reason for any remake
@Melsy
maybe Sofia will use her luminous and curvaceous charms to defeat enemies? :)
@Scott
ReplyDeletehope your eye balls are still well and OK.You will need them for the pics I'm posting every day
@Lurk
vampire in the jungle is a nice concept, isn't it?
@Jaccsy
that would be a lethal cast! For sure!
@Vics
must buy something black for the funeral :(
@Kelley
all of our Slav girls have blue eyes :)
Great pics, as usual.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read MILLENNIUM, I was hoping it was a movie of that old TV show that Lance Henriksen was in.
okay... *snort*snort*snort* that Footloose remake actually looks pretty entertaining. Gah. I was so YOUNG when the first one came out, and now I'm so OLD... :D LOL!
ReplyDeleteCool. I didn't know they were remaking Footloose. I don't watch very many dance movies - though I love to dance. But, since Footloose makes me nostalgic, I'll watch that one. Sofia's name cracks me up. It is so close to Viagra. But, gee, whaddaya know? Another vampire film. Who'd have figured? I hope it tanks.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I worship the old FOOTLOOSE, but I think remaking it might just be the worst idea in the history of film-making. It's an object that has its place in film and doesn't need to be touched. Will I go see the new one though? Fuck yeah.
ReplyDeleteTo see or not to see FootLoose...hmm Not to see is more likely. I have said it in your other post, I like Bacon a lot and not sure I want to see him replaced by new actor.
ReplyDeleteBtw, is there any news of him becoming a cameo in the movie? it would be cool, like Lou Ferigno in the Incredible Hulk
Milla is fabulous! love her films! :D

@Leigh
we are getting old as mummies :P
@Doralynn
well, you can't really say the name doesn't fit her perfectly :)
@Ben
ReplyDeletewell you gotta join them if you can't beat them!
@Novia
nope, as you can see from the trailer, there's no Bacon in the remake
@David
glad you like her :)
Wow, a Footloose remake. I vaguely remember the first one coming out ...
ReplyDeleteCould be fun, though. :-)
well, we do always like us some dance movies, don't we? :)
ReplyDeleteZOMG!!!
ReplyDeleteDezmond, you know how much I adore Milla J!
I LOVE that pic!!!
wonder what Z in ZOMG means :)
ReplyDeleteI do know that many of my boys love Milla :)
