He will be playing Roger, a handsome, enthusiastic though somewhat awkward paralegal who is the assistant to Riley (Chelsea Kane). Jean Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler and Tahj Mowry star along with Kane in the FreeForm series which follows a young single father raising his baby daughter with his friends, mother and brother.

In the trailer department, here is something currently playing in cinemas around Europe and Asia, a hilarious French epic oriental comedy parody THE NEW ADVENTURES OF ALADDIN starring Kev Adams as Aladin, Jean Paul Rouve as the grand Vizier and Vanessa Guide as princess Shalia Sofia.  It follows a pair of losers working at department store who plan to rob the place after it closes. When a bunch of kids show up begging for a story, the men launch into an improvised version of Aladdin.

While Disney is preparing their own live action version on the same fairy tale, another live action adaptation of A LITTLE MERMAID has just cast ROYALS star William Moseley as the lead actor next to Shirley MacLaine. It will follow Elle (Loreto Peralta), a young orphan who discovers a beautiful and enchanting creature (Poppy Drayton who was painfully bad in SHANNARA) she believes to be the real “Little Mermaid.” Moseley is Cam Harrison, Elle’s overprotective older brother who has come to the U.S. to live after the deaths of her parents. A newspaperman, he is sent to a small Mississippi town on an assignment to find out more about some mysterious healing waters and ends up learning more than he ever imagined about the power of love, belief and magic, both light and dark.

SEA CHARACTERS REVEALED!

Now, here's some animated delight for you today: Pixar has released first images of new sea creatures that will appear in their FINDING DORY sequel swimming into theatres June 17th! Crazy new characters include a pair of sea lions (voiced by Dominic West and Idris Elba), Rudder and Fluke who sound like East London gangsters; Jenny and Charlie, Dory's parents (Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy), Bailey the beluga whale (Ty Burrell), a cranky octopus named Hank (Ed O'Neill) and a whale shark named Destiny (Kaitlin Olson). There are also ocean loons and otters who don't speak but appear with their own shenanigans like seagulls in the first movie.

The story of FINDING DORY moves to the West Coast, as Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) starts to remember who her parents are, which sets her off on a journey to Monterey, California to track them down. She arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, where she meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny, a whale shark and Hank, an octopus, who becomes her guide. The friendly but forgetful blue tang fish reunites with her loved ones, and everyone learns a few things about the real meaning of family along the way.

The show centres on travelling psychic Manfred Bernardo (Francois Arnaud) who, having grown tired of life on the road, takes the advice of his dead grandmother and decides to settle in the small Texas town of Midnight. Perfectly content with going about his business letting others think he’s a hack, Manfred soon realizes that he has much more in common with the locals than he originally thought. It would seem that he’s found more evil than he left, so he’ll have to bond with his supernatural neighbours to figure out what’s going on. The cast also includes Arielle Kebbel, Dylan Bruce and Sarah Ramos.

I haven't seen her in quite a long time, but 90's German movie star Franka Potente (RUN, LOLA, RUN) has just joined Tom Hardy's Victorian series TABOO which, set in 1814,  follows James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy), a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. Believed to be long dead, he returns home to London from Africa to inherit what is left of his father’s shipping empire and rebuild a life for himself. But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice, and with enemies lurking in every dark corner, James must navigate increasingly complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. Franka Potente will play Helga, a business minded madam who shares a history with James.

Meanwhile, something for the ladies, ex Disney star and now a sex symbol Gregg Sulkin will lead comedy movie STATUS UPDATE  in which he will play Josh, a five star high school quarterback who wants to be a journalist. When he writes an article about his social experiment of changing his Facebook status from “single” to “interested in men,” a fellow male student with a crush on him creates a tribute video to “Josh the Gay Quarterback” that goes viral. The media picks it up, and Josh becomes a hero to gay teens. As his relationships get tested, can he keep the secret that he’s straight?

TV news today, starting with infos from the TV comedy world: FreeForm's YOUNG & HUNGRY sitcom, which has just been renewed for the 5th season will have THE MCCARTHYS star Tyler Ritter guest starring as Adam, a handsome and funny man who is nursing a broken heart after being left at the altar. He and Gabi (Emily Osment) bond over their similar relationship problems and the fact that they are both budding entrepreneurs.

STEPHEN FRY IN 'GREAT INDOORS'

Meanwhile, British legend Stephen Fry will star in NBC's new sitcom THE GREAT INDOORS in which  Joel McHale plays an adventure reporter who must adapt to the times when he becomes boss to a group of millennials in the digital department of their magazine. Fry will be the charismatic founder of  THE GREAT INDOORS magazine, and a world traveller, explorer and adventure! 

BBC ORDERS 'QUACKS' 

VICTORIAN COMEDY SERIES
Over in UK, BBC has ordered 6 half hour episode period series set in the 1840s titled QUACKS about four young pioneers in the daring and wild days of Victorian medicine!  The comedy takes place at a time when doctors were just as likely to kill their patients as cure them, when they experimented on themselves and each other. It was an era when the O.R. — or operating theatre in British parlance — was full of spectacle and showmanship (and screw-ups). Rory Kinnear will play one of those showmen, an arrogant surgeon; Mathew Baynton is a fledgling psychiatrist; Tom Basden a hedonistic dentist turned anaesthetist and Lydia Leonard a headstrong social campaigner. Rupert Everett will guest star.

ABC has cast Medalion Rahimi to play intelligent, outspoken and practical princess Isabella in their upcoming new STILL STAR CROSSED 16th century Verona set series that picks up where William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet left off charting the treachery, palace intrigue and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. Over at CW, Sofia Pernas has joined their historical adventure series TRANSYLVANIA replacing Amrita Acharia as Coriander, an exotic gypsy queen of the matriarchal clan that runs the fleshpots of the Old City, the haunted spot where Vlad the Impaler once killed thousands of their tribe. Set in 1880 TRANSYLVANIA centres on Victoria (Laura Brent), a headstrong young woman in search of her missing father who ventures from NYC to Transylvania where she teams up with a wrongfully disgraced Scotland Yard Detective (Luke Allen-Gale), and together they witness the births of the most famous monsters and villains in history.
