Dark days are looming ahead us, spylings, with the writers' strike now in its third month and actors guild joining them as of yesterday. We will probably have even less news but I will try to always dig something up for you as much as I can. Today, I have for you a trailer for THE POD GENE- RATION sf comedy movie which arrives August 11th!   THE STORY OF THE FILM

 follows New York couple Rachel (Emilia Clarke) and Alvy (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who are ready to start a family. But rather than having a baby the old-fashioned way, they embrace the benefits of living in a glossy sci-fi future: they land a coveted spot at the Womb Center, which offers detachable, artificial wombs (pods) that will let them share pregnancy on equal footing. The problem? The Womb Center is solely Rachel's idea. Alvy, a botanist who loathes the way AI tech is replacing the natural world, only agrees for Rachel's sake. But whatever his doubts about growing a baby, his love for Rachel is absolute — and so begins their complex journey of starting a family with pods. The film was both written and directed by Sophie Barthes who premiered the movie at Sundance Film Festival.

A rather doomed project which had to change its director in the middle of production and got mixed reaction for the first trailer and the choice of Alden Ehrenreich for the lead, is predicted to earn the lowest income of all Star Wars movies so far. Fox has paid a multimillion price for the movie pitch which will be used for the script (to be written by The Fault in Our Stars scribes) with the story following a man who wakes up in a different body each day and has to stay connected to the woman he loves. If you like post apocalyptic shows, here's one for you: Fox has ordered a pilot for a TV series based on Justin Cronin's fantasy saga THE PASSAGE which has three books out so far following a young girl named Amy who must save the human race! The story begins in the near future and details an apocalyptic and, later, post apocalyptic world that is overrun by vampire like beings who are infected by a highly contagious virus. What begins as a project to develop a new immunity boosting drug based on a virus carried by an unnamed species of bat in South America eventually becomes the virus that transforms the world. The novel begins in 2016 and spans more than ninety years, as colonies of humans attempt to live in a world filled with superhuman creatures who are continually on the hunt for fresh blood.

The story is set in April 2015 when something unusual happened: the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company, an underground safe deposit facility in London's Hatton Garden area, was burgled by 4 elderly men. With the total stolen money possibly close to a value of up to £200 million, the incident has been called the "largest burglary in English legal history."
