TREASURE ISLAND
After the first images from new epic adventure series TREASURE ISLAND which will sail onto MGM+ on October 11th and then to Paramount + for viewers in Europe the next day, we now have a trailer as well which you can check out below the post. The six part small screen adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic seafaring tale has a rather, I must admit, boring cast which includes Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins, always wooden David Oyelowo as Long John Silver, Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins, Jack
Huston as Aaron Graham, and Tomer Capone as Billy Bones.

WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE NEW TV SERIES?
When young Jim Hawkins and his fiercely determined mother Bess come into possession of Captain Flint’s legendary treasure map, they are swept into a brutal race for unimaginable riches. They cross the Atlantic aboard the Hispaniola. During their journey, Jim enters a world of shifting loyalties, ruthless ambition, and deadly secrets. In fact, trust can be as dangerous as betrayal. At the heart of the expedition is Long John Silver. He is a charismatic and deeply complex survivor whose ambitions challenge every certainty Jim holds. Through treacherous landscapes and escalating conflict, the hunt for treasure
becomes a battle between loyalty and ambition. As a result, it will change them forever. See the trailer below and tell us what you think:

A pirate treasure hunt with shifting loyalties and deadly secrets sounds like a great premise for a series, and six episodes feels like just the right length to keep the tension up without dragging it out. Also, just a heads up, my comment from yesterday seems to have gotten caught in your spam filter.

It is not in the spam box, it was published yesterday, if you mean the Ray Gunn comment.
DeleteYes, absolutely! I really want to watch this, the trailer looks amazing. Thanks! Sending you a big hug for the whole weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angelito, returning the hug, we might need it as nights have become below ten C here LOL
DeleteUna serie movimentata e avventurosa, che non mancherà di riscuotere il meritato successo.

DeleteThis isn't one that's grabbing my attention, so I'm going to give it a pass. I don't have Paramount anyway, so it will fall off my radar as soon as I am done with this post.
ReplyDeleteIt is not on Paramount but MGM PLus, Paramount outside of USA.
DeleteI don't have that either lol. Another add on with extra fees from Amazon. I see some streaming service is now adding in ads even if you pay more for their ad-free versions. I'm about to cancel everything and go back to pirating. Same with the Facebook fees they want to charge. I'm getting real sick of the greed.
DeleteI am sick every night when I want to relax a bit with You Tube which now has two compulsory ads you cannot close in every video, even in short two minute videos, they also interrupt longer videos every two or three minutes now with ads, it is beyond sick. And you cannot even block them anymore, because when I block some ad they keep molesting me with it and others from the same advertiser.
DeleteIt is the absolute worst when you're watching a song and they cut to an ad halfway through the performance. It ruins the whole thing.
DeleteIt really made me mad when someone pointed out to them that lifesaving videos such as CPR or what to do during a heart attack should not have ads because those precious seconds count. They responded that everyone should subscribe to their Red service then to avoid interruptions. Like where the eff is compassion for fellow man or decency? I limit my visits there now.
They are such cunts, but they will be getting bigger and bigger as most of the shows and films in the future will play there not on streamers.
