  BENJAMIN WALKER
JOINS CHRIS HEMSWORTH IN 'IN THE HEART OF THE SEA' EPIC MOVIE
Sometime ago HOLLYWOOD SPY has announced that Ron Howard is preparing to direct sea epic IN THE HEART OF THE SEA a 19th century set drama in which Chris Hemsworth will star as the first mate on board the Essex, a doomed ship whose encounter with an angry sperm whale was the inspiration for famous novel Moby Dick. The ship went down in the middle of the South Pacific after being rammed by the whale, and its crew drifted for more than 90 days, ultimately forced to turn to drastic measures in order to survive. According to fresh rumours from "Deadline" Benjamin Walker from ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER might play George Pollard, the privileged son of a whaling family, and the captain of the Essex who gets downgraded after the accident!

  1. August: Osage County has a fabulous cast. Too bad the clip is too reminiscent of my own family. Has me scared to watch it now. :P

  4. I bet Captain George Pollard is the first to be eaten. "In a white wine sauce with truffles and shallots" as that old Monty Python lifeboat sketch said.

  6. Ewan looks very different in this film. The beard really changes his face. The film looks good in an introspective real life way. Great cast and certainly worth the watch.

    1. I do like him with a beard, looks more stylish and refined, his look in JACK THE GIANT SLAYER was magnificent :) And I love when they show him geeky too like in my fave film SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN!

    1. Yep, it was probably done poorly in the pilot, and it is a shock since the news were saying it was a very strong contender for a season order.
I'm happy that REIGN and ALMOST HUMAN got picked up at least :)

  13. I'm looking forward to J.J. Abrams' new series. I'll probably stop watching Revolution as I just am not having fun with it.

You got any news on if/when Guillermo del Toro is getting that vampire series off the ground? I read about it on io9 and it's supposed to be really gory.

    1. they say ALMOSTHUMAN will be very expensive, so the look should be great too. Very futuristic.

I tend not to do Guillermo here, only when his movies are not so gory like in PACIFIC RIM.
