FIRST "ROBIN HOOD" POSTER

Universal Pictures has just released the first poster for the upcoming historical adventure "Robin Hood", scheduled for premiere May 14, 2010. I must admit I'm positively shocked by this cheap looking, totally non-creative poster with Russell Crowe posing with his bow and arrow. I've already said that I didn't like the costumes in the movie either, so I'm afraid the whole film might have poor visual quality. "Robin Hood" brings the new look on the old legend, starring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Kevin Durand, and Max von Sydow.

  1. There is a lot of interest around here (Newfoundland) as local Celtic/rock singer Alan Doyle (of Great Big Sea) is playing Allan A'Dayle in the movie. He is a friend of Russel Crowe and they have helped each other on their latest music albums.

  2. Really? That sounds interesting, having your local musician playing in the future world-wide blockbuster :) He will be a star in his hometown after this :)

  3. The Gladiator has returned! Great poster, and the UK trailer is a lot better than the US trailer as well.

  4. yep, the UK trailer is better, but I still hate the poster, I could've made a better one myself :)

  5. Film looks "real". Too bad Russel doesn't look like a Robin Hood to me. Any version of Robin Hood.
Russel is too "fat" for Robin. To much meat on his bones, low agility, plus chubby fingers.
    Not really an archer's build.

  6. He he he, Marko you said it all :))) I totally agree with you, leave Robin Hoods to charming thin guys, not to naughty buffs :))

  7. Dezmond, I can not remember but isn't this almost like Kevin Costner's old Robin Hood movie poster?

  8. If I recall well, it is almost identical :))
