  1. I think I can see the appeal for Ridley in these Biblical stories. They are grand epics, loaded with betrayal, murder, war and the miraculous. King David has loads of potential as he got up to loads of no good later in life.

    1. I do like the revival of epic movies, dear, even though I totally dislike the cast in this one, they all seem totally misplaced. I mean Turturro as Egyptian pharaoh? And Edgerton never peaked my interest....

  2. That's quite a trailer. The film should be monumental indeed!

  3. So was David's love affair with Jonathan before or after Goliath? It's just been so gosh-darned long since I read my Bible that I can't remember off the top of my head.

  4. I've read one of the books in the Saxon series by Cornwell. I was lucky enough to meet him at a conference a few years ago when I sat in on his presentation on writing, and afterward picked up one of the books in the series. I enjoy most of his books that deal with British history. Which reminds me, we're still waiting on Agincourt news too.

    1. AGINCOURT has been announced so many times that I don't think it will actually happen :)
I'm not sure, but I think he tweeted about us once, or was it Ken Follett?
