Now this will be a gorgeous team in a not so gorgeous film: adorable singer and actress Mandy Moore and charming Rodrigo Santoro will play together in FALLING SLOWLY. According to "Variety" the upcoming supernatural drama will revolve around a couple whose apartment is haunted by some mysterious dark presence. The film will be directed by Chris Sparkling who wrote another popular horror BURIED and this will be his directorial debut.
SHORT HEADLINES *Popular video game DEVIL MAY CRY, about a white haired young man named Dante who must avenge his mother's murder by slaying demons, will be adapted into a movie. Sony wants to make
a franchise out of it. *Japanese Oscar nominee Rinko Kikuchi has joined Keanu Reeves in 47 RONIN, the 18th century adventure about 47 warriors who sought vengeance from the tyrant who banished them from his kingdom.
It seems Tim Burton will be busy again. He will direct a new version of the famous Victor Hugo story THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME for Warner Bros. The story about Quasimodo, a deformed and hunchbacked bell-ringer of the Notre Dame cathedral who tragically falls in love with beautiful gypsy named Esmerelda will probably have Josh Brolin in the title role of the tragic French hunchback according to "MovieWeb".
PS don't forget to drop over to HAIRNETS AND HOPES to tell our dear Vics how beautiful and gorgeous her new Dezz-made banner is :))
There's nothing like the disney version of The Hunback of Notre Dame. Why bother?
ReplyDeleteI do like the cast for that horror movie. Mandy Moore is great, maybe they can pull off a great film, we'll see.
Nahno ∗ McLein ™
we'll see, we'll see, and Mandy is super charming :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! You were not kidding my good friend, Dez. Great redemption has been attained by putting up that magnificent photo of Monica Bellucci!
ReplyDeleteMandy Moore looks damn good too :)
I love the story of the hunchback and Tim Burton should do an incredible job. And I am so happy Rodrigo Santoro is on screen again. It's been far too long since 300.
ReplyDeleteLove your banner at Vics' site. So talented, Dez. :)
I used to love Tim Burton, but he's really been sucking it up with has latest movies.
ReplyDeletethe haunted apartment might be good or it might be the same ol' same ol'.
ReplyDeleteUnder Tim Burton's direction the Hunchback may be good.

ReplyDelete@Matty
ReplyDeletehe he ... I knew my boys would be pleased :) And I also knew you would gonna like Mandy :) My mission was accomplished ;)
@Melissa
Tim will probably make a visually stunning film out of it. And we do need more Rodrigo in Hollywood :) Glad you like the banner :)
@Raw
yes, it's true, although visual master pieces, most of his movies in last five or six years have been rather boring and bad in story telling
@Susan
ReplyDeleteglad you like it, Suzy ;)
@Arlee
yep, the plot is quite typical for that kind of genre, but I do like the actors they've cast.
@RaShelle
isn't it beautiful? I have a number of her pics, but this one is my favourite as well, it just shows her torso and boob in a very lovely way and plus she has the most beautiful face!
@Lynda
ReplyDeleteoooh, glad you liked it, I know you are my number one animation and artsy expert :)
@Jaccsy
as you should be, Jaccsy, as you should be :)
@Zakk
I knew you would gonna like DEVIL MAY CRY part of the post :)
I haven't seen Mandy Moore in some time.
ReplyDeleteThe Hunchback sounds good.
I have been away on business and the sorry hotel only offered internet in the lobby and dining area, so I am quite far behind in the blogging community.
Oddly enough, I'm looking forward to the Devil May Cry movie....
ReplyDeleteRinko Kikuchi is the one from Babel right? Y'know I'm really looking forward to '47 Ronin' now, as I'm kinda in a Keanu phase for some reason. He'd be great in a Samurai flick and not only 'cause he's part Asian.
ReplyDeleteOh, lucky Mandy... Rodrigo is muy caliente! :D
@Avalon
ReplyDelete"sorry hotel" he he he he ... :)))
@Andrew
well, it does sound kinda interesting with all those alluring characters
@Flixy
yep, Rinko is from BABEL. I'm not sure what to think about RONIN, I mean Keanu as a samurai? It will be crazy and interesting :)
I think Tim Burton will do great with the Hunchback of Notre Dame though was unsure about Brolin for the role at first, it is growing on me though
ReplyDeleteBurton always does great flicks. Be interesting to watch the development on Devil May Care.
ReplyDeleteMandy is charming & the plot sounds pretty good. Will be interesting to see what Burton ocmes up with on this one.
ReplyDelete@Dempsey
ReplyDeleteyep, it's not as if we're going to see his face of body anyway :)
@Alex
DEVIL MAY CRY not CARE :) It could be an interesting horror.
@MPax
Mandy is adorable :) And I just hope Burton won't put Johnny Depp to play Esmeralda :)
