For many years, French superstar, Oscar winner and comedian Jean Dujardin has dreamed of making a new adaptation of the famous book THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN by Richard Matheson

The movie will arrive this October to the cinemas

 and now he has finally done it, and his movie version of it L'homme qui rétrécit will arrive into French cinemas October 29th and we have the first teaser today. 

 

THE STORY FOLLOWS 

n ordinary man who divides his life between his shipbuilding business and his family. Faced with a strange and inexplicable meteorological phenomenon while on the high seas, he begins to shrink inexorably, without science being able to explain it. Suddenly trapped in his own basement, just a few inches tall, he has to fight to survive in this ordinary environment that has become hostile. Australian Foxtel and streamer Binge have released a trailer for the third season of their THE TWELVE series with Sam Neill in the lead role as a prosecutor with a new case and twelve new jury members in each season. 

 

 Out August 4th, new season titled THE TWELVE: CAPE ROCK KILLER is unlike any other as things get personal for Brett Colby (Sam Neill) after he is thrust into a murder trial to defend the husband of a life-long friend accused of a heinous murder. As the trial unravels a deeper mystery, a 1968 cold case murder of two teens is re-opened, and the twelve jurors sworn in for the trial find their own lives changed by the experience. Ewen Leslie leads the jury with Danielle Cormack also in the cast. The eight episode series also airs on BBC in UK.

While we are waiting for Netflix to set the streaming date for Steven Knight's period set series HOUSE OF GUINNESS about one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties – The Guinness Family, I thought I could share with you some set images showing James Norton and Anthony Boyle, who will play Arthur Guinness. Set in 19th century Dublin and New York, it will focus on the consequences of the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his cunning will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the growing juggernaut that is one of the most beloved alcoholic drinks today. I told you previosly that David Wilmot will be Bonnie Champion with Louis Partridge also in the cast. Danielle Galligan, Seamus O’Hara, Jack Gleeson, Michael McElhatton and Fionn O’Shea will join them as well.

Some two years ago I told you that Robert Merle's 13 books long saga FORTUNES OF FRANCE (Fortune de France) is being turned into a six episode mini series by France2 with our dear Nicolas Duvauchelle starring alongside Gregory Fitoussi and Guillaume Gouix! The historical series, which used more than 750 extras in the production, aired in France last year, but it is now available on Prime Video for streaming. According to Deadline, Sony paid a seven figure sum for ERUPTION which Crichton started writing before he died back in 2008 so the task was then given to James Patterson to complete the novel  which follows a history-making volcano explosion that is about to wipe away the big island of Hawaii. However, a secret held for decades by the U.S. military is far more terrifying than any volcano. Crichton and Patterson have together sold more than 700 million books around the globe to date. Kaz and Ryan Firpo are writing the script.

Jack works as a Hand Raker on the mussel beds in North Wales alongside his younger brother,Dyfan, and Dyfan’s three sons. Jack has always assumed that his own boy, Tom, will join the family business on leaving school but Tom’s resistance to follow in his footsteps creates familial tension. Tensions are further inflamed by the arrival of an itinerant deckhand, Daniel, who makes known his feelings for Jack. back in October, we now have the first trailer for the film!. Edgar Wright directed the adaptation of Stephen King’s futuristic novel, a chase thriller set in a dystopian America in the year 2025. The story centers on Ben Richards, a desperate man who participates in violent reality show called The Running Man in order to win enough money to revive his gravely ill daughter. The show follows Richards being chased by numerous hunters sent to kill him. Josh Brolin as a villain, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian and Daniel Ezra are also in the film which will have a November 7th, 2025 release! Check out the trailer below:

About a year ago I told you that Netflix has ordered sixteen episodes of a new multicamera sitcom LEANNE from Chuck Lorre which will see comedienne Leanne Morgan lead the comedy and now we have the first trailer and a launch date on July 31st. She will play a woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad. Kristen Johnston will play her completely opposite sister Carol who twice divorced with no kids, and if there’s a choice between going to church and going to a bar, she will always choose the latter. Despite their differences, Carol is fiercely loyal to her sister and is her ride or die. Celia Weston,Blake Clark, Ryan Stiles, Graham Rogers and Hannah Pilkes. Tim Daly, Jayma Mays, Annie Gonzalez and Blake Gibbons will recur. As you may know, the shooting has started for the sequel DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2 with the main four returning to the cast - Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Anne Hathaway, but the latest news is that Kenneth Branagh has joined them as Miranda Priestly's husband with whom she does not have such a happy marriage. According to Variety the storyline will reportedly follow Miranda Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Blunt’s character, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs. David Frankel and Aline Brosh McKenna, who directed and wrote the original film, are returning for the sequel which arrives next May.
