Lux Vide already started airing it in Italy over on their Rai and their new epic TV adaptation of famous SANDOKAN  is also available on Prime Video in some countries, but it will also stream for the rest of the world on Netflix from January 19th with Turkish heartthrob Can Yaman in the lead role of the famous adventurer. Alanah Bloor, Ed Westwick, Alessandro Preziosi, John Hannah also star beside him.

IN NEW SERIES

  Adventure, passion, revolution and love for nature: these are the colors of Sandokan, the event series that gives life to the immortal character created by Emilio Salgari. The series goes to the roots of a myth, exploring the origins of the Malaysian Tiger and telling his trajectory from a simple adventurer to the prince of the pirates. In Borneo, a tropical paradise inhabited by the native tribes of Dayak, but dominated by the ruthless law ofthe colonialist British, Sandokan is a pirate who lives by the day: he fights only for himself and for his crew, 

The series will start this December on RAI

including the trusted Yanez. But his life changes when he meets Marianna, the beautiful daughter of Labuan’s British consul during a raid. It is the beginning of an impossible love story between two similar souls: Marianna, of European and noble blood, but with the wild spirit of those who grew up in a tropical paradise, and Sandokan, pirate and adventurer, who without knowing it carries within himself the blood of ancient warrior kings. On their trail will be the legendary pirate hunter Lord James Brooke, who will stop at nothing to capture Sandokan and win Mariana’s heart. The protagonists will fight for themselves and for their love, but soon they will understand that they are part of a much greater story: that of apeople who fight for freedom and for the salvation of unspoiled nature... And this people, the Dayak, seek a leader who can save them. For this reason Sandokan will be called to be much more than a pirate: he will have to become the legendary Tiger of Malaysia.

The six part series stars British comedienne Dawn French and Mark Heap as a retired couple living in the West Country of England who are presented with a unique criminal opportunity to claim life insurance when one of them is mistakenly declared to have died. They hide out, awaiting funds, putting family under strain with deception and unusual living arrangements. Craig Roberts stars as their son who has to deal with the fact that his parents have turned into a pensioner version of Bonnie and Clyde with Mandip Gill also in the cast as his very pragmatic wife.

Channel 5 has announced a couple of new series including NUMBER ONE FAN a suspenseful thriller set in the world of daytime TV following morning show presenter Lucy, who is saved from an attack by a strange woman named Donna who claims to be her “number one fan”. Lucy’s gratitude quickly sours when Donna’s fandom turns into a darker obsession infiltrating Lucy’s career, family and friends. However to her horror Lucy comes to realise that Donna has a link to a hidden secret in her past which threatens to derail the career she has so carefully curated. Sally Lindsay and Jill Halfpenny will take the leads. 

STAR TREK STRANGE NEW WORLDS FIND THEIR DOCTOR BONES AND SULU FOR THE FINAL FIFTH SEASON

It has already been announced that the upcoming fourth and fifth seasons of STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS will be the final ones, but they are yet to air and we now know that Thomas Jane will join the last season as Doctor Bones and Kai Murakami as Sulu. The final season will have only six episodes, while the fourth one will have the usual ten. It is not impossible that the series might birth a spin off in which Paul Wesley takes over Enterprise as Captain Kirk after guest starring in this series. Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck and others have already shot both final seasons earlier this winter. Bones and Sulu will appear in the last episode of the final episode in 2027.

After showing you the first teaser from Russia's ambitious and expensive fairy tale movie A TALE OF TSAR SALTAN based on the famous folk story back earlier in September, we now have the crazy magical full trailer and poster for the fairy tale movie that has a February 2026 release date set. The role of Tsar Saltan was given to Pavel Prinyulny, Alexey Henzhen is Prince Guidon, Elizaveta Moryak is Queen Mother with Alice Kot as the Swan Princess. A massive 6,000 square meter palace and city were built for the film and more than 500 costumes were sewnfor the actors and extras in this enchantingly lavish movie adventure  based on a beloved story that most of us have listened to in our childhoods. Sarik Andreasyan directed the new movie.

  WHAT IS THE MAGICAL STORY OF THE FILM?
Tsar Saltan, who was staying in a village house, was lucky enough to fall in love with a sweet, kind, simple girl - Annushka. Annushka was lucky enough tomarry the Tsar and give birth to his son. Her sisters and stepmother were lucky enough, as if by magic, to follow Annushka to the royal palace. But thesisters and stepmother did not appreciate their happiness, they desired more and started an intrigue. While Saltan is away, they change the letter andexpose Annushka and the newborn heir to the Tsar in a bad light. Saltan is furious, but orders him to wait for his return. However, the letter with theorder is replaced again. As a result, the queen and her son are sealed in a barrel and thrown into the ocean to certain death... BBC's annual festive A Ghost Story for Christmas series TV movie from Mark Gattis will this year be THE ROOM IN THE TOWER and will see Tobias Menzies playing Roger Winstanley, who has been haunted by an unsettling, recurring dream! It's 1944, and while sheltering during an air raid, Roger strikes up a conversation with Verity, a Wren. When he asks if she dreams, he begins to recount the haunting vision that has followed him formost of his life: a recurring dream of a mysterious house, a silent family on the lawn and an unseen, unidentified terror lurking in the room in the tower. But when he is invited to stay at a country estate eerily similar to the one in his dreams, and is assigned the very same room, he becomes increasingly disturbed as his nightmare begin to become reality. What is really lurking, waiting for him in the room in the tower? Airing on Christmas Eve on BBC Two as it has now become a holiday tradition in United Kingdom, this short TV drama also stars Joanna Lumley and Polly Walker.

Netflix has released a teaser for their new mini TV series SEVEN DIALS based on Agatha Christie's book which will be available for streaming as of January 15th as one of the first new series of 2026! Chris Chibnall created the three part series with Mia McKenna Bruce leading the cast of the clever mystery as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, a young, determined sleuth. 

 

 THE STORY IS SET IN 

England, 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. The movie will hit the cinemas next March

 THE BREADWINNER which will mark his big screen acting debut out March 13th. Moore plays Nate’s supermom wife, Katie, who lands a deal on Shark Tank. The catch? It requires her to set out on an extended business trip — and leave her husband in charge. Subsequently, the lifelong breadwinner of the family becomes a stay-at-home dad and quickly realizes he’s in way over his head. Bargatze also wrote the script for this movie that will see Stella Grace Fitzgerald, Birdie Borria and Charlotte Ann Tucker star as their daughters. Eric Appel is directing. The discovery sends shockwaves through the community, reviving the ghost of an unsolved cold case that rocked the town three years prior – the disappear- ance of Jackie’s niece, Nessa, which cost her career. Cefin’s death summons Jackie’s former partner, Detective Eric Bull (Rafe Spall), back to Morfa Halen to lead the investigation into a community he failed once before. Convinced the cases are linked, Jackie and  Bull must reconcile and race to uncover long-buried secrets inside Morfa, before the storm breaks and all the evidence is gone for good. The local cop, on the other hand, has never solved a serious crime in his life, so the sheep conclude they will have to solve it themselves, even if it means leaving their meadow for the first time and facing the fact that the human world isn't as simple as it appears in books.

First trailer has been released from Guy Ritchie's new period set television series YOUNG SHERLOCK with young Hero Fienness Tiffin in the lead role. It is not actually coming out to cinemas anytime soon with the premiere scheduled for November 6th next year, but we already have the first trailer and poster with KJ Apa in the lead role in James Stewart biopic JIMMY which also includes Jason Alexander as Louis B. Mayer, Max Casella as Frank Capra, Sarah Drew as Hedda Hopper, Julian Works as Second Lieutenant Martinez, and Jen Lilley as Stewart’s wife Gloria while Neal McDonough stars as Stewart’s father. The movie chronicles Pennsylvania-native Stewart’s rise in Hollywood, including winning an Academy Award for his work in “The Philadelphia Story,” before enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a combat pilot at the beginning of World War II and he flew 20 missions over Europe, rising to the rank of colonel, only to return home broken and disheartened. Not long after his return home, he starred in Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” in 1946.

Last summer you trusted spy told you that Paramount + UK is turning Hollie Overton's book into a thriller TV series. BABY DOLL and now we have a trailer and posters. With the title changed into GIRL TAKEN it will follow twin sisters Lily and Abby (Talalah and Delphie Evans), whose lives are shattered when Lily is abducted from their quiet rural English town by beloved local teacher Rick Hansen (Alfie Allen). After years of abuse in captivity, Lily escapes only to discover that freedom brings its own challenges. The world she longed to return to has moved on without her. As Abby, Lily and their mother Eve (Jill Halfpenny) struggle to rebuild their family, they must confront the lasting damage and the terrifying reality that Rick is still out there, determined to control the narrative and evade justice. Niamh Walsh will also star. The six-part series will debut on 8th January 2026!

They will be Alice and Tom, a couple whose romantic getaway to Paris takes a dark turn after Tom suddenly disappears aboard a train to the south of France. Alice is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew. Matthias Schweighöfer and Karin Viard will also star in the new series coming up next February.
