I have first images from a historical movie that is currently in post production for you today: THE FALLOW FEW which is both written and directed by JR Rappaport, who helms it as his directorial debut, starring our dearest Bradley James in a moving story set during the nightmares of the First World War. Tony Robinson, Louis Davison, Ashleigh Reynolds, Christopher Bonwell, Viktor Ilic also star in this moving war movie. We have not seen Bradley in anything since his short stint in Vikings: Valhalla series season two, so it will be nice to see him again at least on the big screen as he has nothing else set in his list of the upcoming roles.
  WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE MOVIE?
Based on a harrowing true story the movie has the story set in the cold days of December, 1916 over at the Western Front. A disillusioned soldier, tasked with guarding British deserters on death row, disobeys his superiors to save his latest charge's life at the eleventh hour.

BBC has sent us the first images from the second season of their period set series TEN POUND POMS which sees the return of Michelle Keegan as nurse Kate Thorne, and Faye Marsay and Warren Brown as Annie and Terry. The series will return sometime next year to BBC and also to Stan in Australia.
 
WHAT IS THE SECOND SEASON STORY?
After a challenging first year in Australia, series two follows nurse Kate Thorne (Michelle Keegan) and the Roberts family (Faye Marsay and Warren Brown) into 1957 on their adventure down under, each determined against all odds to achieve their slice of the Australian dream. As Kate, Annie and Terry settle into their new lives, they each struggle to reconcile their hopes for the life they were promised with the harsh realities they face at Galgownie. After the first teaser that we got back in April, Netflix has sent us the first trailer for TV series adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez' ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE which will arrive December 11th with the first eight of sixteen episodes following the Buendía family and the founding of the mythical town of Macondo. The most ambitious TV series in the history of Latin America was shot in a village on which construction more than 200 workers toiled for almost a year. More than 34,000 pieces of wardrobe were used during the production of this series.The novel from the Nobel Prize winner was translated

into more than 40 languages around the world and sold in over 50 million copies so far.

MADFABULOUS is a fantastical reimagining set in the late 19th Century inspired by the life of the fifth Marquess of Anglesey. The story follows the outrageous Henry Paget, a flamboyant character, so ahead of his time that he smashes through society’s protocols of elitism and gender. Known for his gregarious theatrical expressions, exuberant sense of fashion (he dressed in outrageously crazy outfits that would make Freddy Mercury proud), and lavish social life, Paget spent a multi-million-pound fortune before his untimely death at age 29.

Carl Morck tackles the cold case while turning an Edinburgh basement office space into a well-oiled machine full of misfit officers dedicated to cracking whatever seemingly impossible cases come across their desks. Matthew Goode will lead the cast as Carl, Chloe Pirri will play a ruthless and ambitious prosecutor, Kelly MacDonald will play a police therapist, Mark Bonnar, our lovely Jack Greenlees, Clive Russell, Alexey Manvelov are just some of the names in a long list of the actors that will star in it.

While we are waiting for the series on tsar Alexander to arrive to the small screens, the latest one to join the series on Russian imperial rulers, after Catherine the Great and Elizaveta, is a historical series on Alexander's father tsar PAUL titled THE FIRST AND THE LAST which finished shooting earlier this year in August. Denis Vlasenko plays the tittle role in the series done for Russia 1, their national broadcaster. The cast also includes Natalia Surkova, Kirill Kyaro, Alexey Barabash, Vladimir Stekov, Artem Krylov, Alexander Chevychelov, Evgeny Kharitonov, Daria Koñyzheva, Olga Bodrova, Polina Filonenko, Sergey Barkovsky, Vladimir Khrabrov, Daria Ahpova and Mariana Kirsanova. The series on the unloved son of Catherine the Great, who did not manage to form a relationship with him because he was taken from her and raised by her mother in law tsarina Elizaveta, will have twelve episodes.

 WHAT IS THE STORY OF THE SERIES?
 Paul was called a tyrant and even a madman, but his character and history are much deeper than the mask that his descendants undeservedly bestowed on him. His mother’s alienation, rejection of the court and endless attempts to figure out who and why really killed his father formed a deeply tragic personality. Having become emperor after many years of waiting, Paul sought to get rid of the permissiveness of the nobility and improve the lives of serfs and ordinary soldiers. THE STORY
now begins five years later with the Brenner brothers (Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell) preparing for another memorable Christmas. In a crazy turn of events, possibly brought on accidentally by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke’s son Thomas’ school holiday musical steps down. Luke is desperate to make his son’s stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor and Stephan. Meanwhile, the trio navigates meeting their mom Barbara’s new boyfriend and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about this relationship. ZACHARY QUINTO JOINS GILDED AGE SET SERIES THE ARTIST WITH CLARK GREGG, DANNY HUSTON, MANDY PATINKIN, HANK AZARIA, JANET MCTEER

The latest one to join the cast of free streamer The Network's Gilded age set mini series THE ARTIST is Zachary Quinto. Set in the twilight of the Gilded Age, it follows an ensemble of the era’s celebrities who meet at the home of Norman Henry, an eccentric and failing tycoon (Mandy Patinkin), and his wife Marian (Janet McTeer) which ends in his untimely demise. Quinto will play Delphin Delmas, a white shoe lawyer from San Francisco. Hank Azaria will be Thomas Edison, the esteemed inventor who visits Norman Henry (Patinkin) to pitch his latest technological device. Clark Gregg portrays Harry Kendall Thaw, the spoiled son of an American coal and railroad baron. Danny Huston is Edgar Degas, the celebrated and controversial French Impressionist artist. The series will stream next March.

Dream Works has released the first teaser for their live action movie version of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON in which Mason Thames and Nico Parker will be the lead stars in the roles of Hiccup and Astrid with Gerard Butler (who is quite unrecognisable in the teaser) as his father Stoick! The movie follows a young Viking as he aspires to hunt dragons, and how he becomes unexpectedly a friend of a young dragon. With Dean DeBlois directing, writing and producing, the movie should fly into cinemas June 13th, 2025 drawing audiences deep into the imaginative lore. Three super popular animated films have grossed over $1.6 billion around the world. Nick Frost will also star.
