The big screen adaptation of A. Scott Berg's biography 'Max Perkins: Editor of Genius', the new movie tells the story of Perkins (Colin Firth), a renowned book editor at Scribner who worked with literary giants F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway and Thomas Wolfe. The plot will mostly focus on the relationship between Perkins and Wolfe. You can currently watch Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman together in THE RAILWAY MAN, while Jude Law is currently filming SPY comedy with Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham and Rose Byrne, in which McCarthy plays an unlikely international spy while Statham is her reluctant partner!

Everyone tells me my son looks like Jude Law. I never saw it until this picture today. Not sure why.
ReplyDelete'tis the picture of an older Jude :) He's aged quite a lot in recent years.... but he still has got the blues.....
Deletei dig jude law... so it works for me too.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear it!
DeleteGenius sounds interesting - not often we get to look at that side of the business.
ReplyDeleteespecially since they ended up the relationship in a bad way, methinks
DeleteIt's always interesting when models step over to the acting world. We'll see if this one can act.
ReplyDeleteher roles aren't big, hope she can handle them. Some models have showed an exquisite talent - Jamie Dornan for example
DeleteSo will BEOWULF be animated, or live action?
ReplyDeletea scripted live action TV series, but it still just an announcement, nothing for sure!
DeleteWith the WALKING WITH DINOSAURS' producer, I thought that it would be animated. I would much rather see a live action show.
DeleteBritish televisions don't do animated shows
DeleteNow I see!
DeleteITV will probably try to rival BBC's usually strong family Saturday evenings when BBC is airing ATLANTIS.
DeleteBeowulf's been done to death already. And you know, the plot is not that complex.
ReplyDeletebut we've never seen it in a form of series :)
DeleteWhat a pity it is not Nicole Kidman on the poster, I like her so much...but, anyway, Jude Law is a good one...nearly a Genius...
ReplyDeleteBest,
Phil.
and it is so sad that Jude never won an Oscar :(
DeleteI agree with Sherry. Most models can't act their way out of a paper bag. Just cause you're pretty doesn't mean you can act. We shall see how this one does.
ReplyDeletewe shall watch gorgeous Russian model Irina Shaik this summer in Dwayne Johnson's HERCULES :)
DeleteWithout reading, I wouldn't have knows that way Law's picture.
ReplyDeleteHe got older over the years... and lost lots of hair
DeleteIt's the hair loss that I noticed more than anything else. He's still a handsome man to me.
DeleteHe is, maybe even sexier, dear.... People with gorgeous eyes don't look bad if they go bald
DeleteYou has sexy eyes darling :)
DeleteI do indeed, dear :))) 'tis about the only sexy thing I do have LOL beside my naughty brain, that is...
DeleteGENIUS, sounds 'really' good. And what a cast :)
ReplyDeletethe title could easily be our biopic too :)
DeleteGenius is going to be great. What a story and a fine cast. Can you imagine have had to handle all those writers? They drank like it was a sport in those days and those three men had some serious mental issues. That was a great period of American Literature in my opinion.
ReplyDeletenot to mention that most of those early 20th century writers were utterly mad and crazy not to mention delusional and nuts....
DeleteThey were mad as hatters and full of themselves as well. They turned out some great work, but I wouldn't have wanted to party with any of them.
DeleteI had nightmares when I had to do ENGLISH WRITERS OF THE 20TH CENTURY and FEMALE WRITERS OF THE 20TH CENTURY courses at college...... The horror......
DeleteFirst I've heard of Cara Delevigne
ReplyDeleteshe's known only in the fashion world... they all look the same to me - zero charisma and anorexic beauty
DeleteBe still my heart for Jude Law. And liked Jude and Nicole in Cold Mountain.
ReplyDeletewe do love him so... too bad he never became big in Hollywood :(
DeleteGenius sounds good, especially with Jude Law stepping in.
ReplyDeletewe do love both Jude and Fassy
DeleteColin Firth can do no wrong.
ReplyDeleteit's only strange that he has so many films with Nicole! I will announce yet another one with them tomorrow
DeleteNicole.... why did you change your face? I was perfect the way it was....
ReplyDeleteshe was ashamed of her past with Cruise and wanted to change her face
DeleteShe should've changed his face....
Deletea few face punches with her bony hands would've done the job....
DeleteI would feed her.
Deletewith a sausage I presume....
