EXCITING NEW TRAILER FOR "THE 100" SF SHOW! HELEN MIRREN IS A CHEF IN "THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY"! JUSTIN THEROUX LEAD IN HBO'S NEW "THE LEFTOVERS" SF SHOW

  HELEN MIRREN TAKES
 THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY
You know how I love nothing more than movies with cooking in them! According to "Deadline" Helen Mirren is negotiating to take the lead role in THE HUNDRED FOOT JOURNEY which will be a big screen adaptation of a novel by Richard C. Morais. Even better piece of news is that outstanding director Lasse Hallstrom (CHOCOLAT, SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN) is helming the film which, set in France, revolves around the rivalry between a three star Michelin restaurant and a nearby Indian eatery. There are rumours that Mirren might take the role of the high-class restaurant's chef Madame Mallory, who forms a mentoring bond with the son of the family of her enemies. Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey are producing.

  JUSTIN THEROUX IN
THE LEFTOVERS SF SHOW
In new shows coming this Autumn to TV we also have a new one from Damon Lindelof and HBO! Titled THE LEFTOVERS, according to "Deadline" it will have Justin Theroux in the lead role! The project takes place after the Rapture happens but not quite like it’s supposed to. It is the story of the people who didn’t make the cut… and a world that will never be the same. Theroux will play chief of police Kevin Garvey, a father of two who is trying to maintain some semblance of normalcy in a world that is starting to completely reject that notion.

  NEW TRAILER FOR
 THE 100 SF TV SHOW
After yesterday's REIGN trailer, here is another new one for CW exciting new sf show THE 100! Coming to the small screens this Autumn, Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, the show follows a spaceship housing the lone human survivors which sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Eliza Taylor, Eli Goree, Kelly Hu, Christopher Larkin, Isaiah Washington lead the cast!

    1. Excalibur was such a trippy film - kinda like they were all on magic shrooms..... You mean you haven't watched Helen in QUEEN? How treacherous of you :P

    2. no i sayin' that i love her class... in everything she does and that "excalibur" was the first time i saw her... i have watched many of her films and queen is one of them... excalibur is one of my favorites... i am watching camelot right now and it's kind of goonie.

    3. oh, don't mention CAMELOT, I'm deeply embarrassed that I spent so much space here promoting that crap of a show before it aired :( Horrid roles by Arthur and Merlin in it. Deeply horrid.

    4. Merlin I like... Arthur, was just the wrong choice. So far I am interested, just like... eh! I had potential... just once again wrong casting.

You promoted rightly, though the dagger lays deep within your back and it's name was given "camelot"...

  2. The 100 kind of reminded me of a very modern Lord of The Flies. Looked interesting and so did Leftovers.

    1. could be interesting, those survival stories are getting really popular. Probably preparing us for the apocalypse.

  3. I think the Leftovers is based on a Tom Perrotta book which I've been dying to read. Mr. Theroux looks like a nice addition to any tale ;)

    1. especially to a Jennifer Aniston tale :) Would you believe that I have extreme difficulties finding a pic for Theroux every time? He smokes a cigarette on almost all of his pics, and that's a big no no on our list of no noes :)

    1. and that a nuclear war won't destroy delinquents :)

  8. The 100 sounds like another take on the current series Revolution, a show which I found to be extremely annoying. Hope this new one does it better, but I kind of doubt it. "Nice factory made clothes" is one clue.

    1. I haven't watched REVOLUTION, but it seems that apocalyptic shows are becoming a trend. This one will be more of a teen show, Lee :) A struggle between nice teens and teen brats....

100 might be good. Looks like another survivor type series though. Hmm, can't think of the name of the one that comes to mind . . Lost? I guess the plus is this is not a cartoon series.
