REESE WITHERSPOON IN "WISH LIST", "MUD", "DEVIL'S KNOT" & "BIG EYES"! LIAM CUNNINGHAM JOINS "MERLIN" SEASON 5! CLIP FROM "CHEERFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEDDING" BRITISH PERIOD COMEDY

One of Reese Witherspoon's future projects, fantasy comedy WISH LIST has finally found its director: according to "The Hollywood Reporter" the movie, scheduled for a 2013 release, will be helmed by BRIDESMAIDS director Paul Feig. The script will see Reese playing a business woman whose all childhood wishes she ever wished suddenly start coming true one by one. Reese is, outside this fun project, trying to take a more serious turn in her career so she has two tough dramas ahead of her: MUD in which Matthew McConaughey will play her soul mate, a charismatic fugitive from the law who is trying to find her with the help of a fourteen year old boy, and DEVIL'S KNOT, in which she will star beside Colin Firth, in a story about three children who were savagely murdered in 1993. Weeks later, police announced the arrest of three teens accused of committing the murders as part of a satanic cult ritual. She will also appear in BIG EYES, next
to Ryan Reynolds. The film explores the relationship between painter Margaret Keane and her husband, Walter, who took credit for her work. He lived the high life while she toiled in relative anonymity in the Bay Area.
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
And here are some new casting updates from the shooting of BBC's MERLIN fifth season, which was, as you remember, ordered even before the fourth one was aired last Autumn since MERLIN is the show aired in the biggest number of countries around the world. The fifth season, currently being shot in UK, will air from September and beside
Colin Morgan and Bradley Jamesin the lead roles of Merlin and king Arthur (you remember that he became the king in the last season), the cast will also have GAME OF THRONES Liam Cunningham, and "Digital Spy" reports that guest stars Lindsay Duncan (Queen Annis) and Janet Montgomery (Princess Mithian) will also be returning in the new run of the show. Although the show was originally planned to
have five seasons, it could continue with the sixth one as well, if the show remains popular after the fans were deeply disappointed with Arthur marrying horrible Gwen in the last season and her becoming the queen of Camelot. GAME OF THRONES second season, for example, has been losing viewers in UK with each episode since the premiere earlier this month.

The only clip I have for you today is for British comedy drama CHEERFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEDDING. Plot Summary: England, 1932. Today is the wedding day of Dolly Thatcham (Felicity Jones), and her family is arriving at the manor house with all the cheerfulness, chaos and grievances that bubble to the surface at such gatherings. Trouble soon appears in the shape of Joseph (Luke
Treadaway), Dolly's lover from the previous summer, who throws her feelings into turmoil. Dolly's mother (Elizabeth McGovern) will not allow her carefully laid plans for her daughter's future to be threatened, and as the clock ticks, the bride can't decide whether to run away with Joseph or start a new life in Argentina with her husband-to-be.
Your Spy will be out of town tomorrow, so I might be a bit late in responding to your comments and in posting the results of our TV HUNK poll, so be patient, my little freaks :)

  3. What do you mean you will be leaving us? Wherever you are going, safe travels.

Also, I think Reese Witherspoon is better in her dramatic roles. At least I like those better. The second one, Devil's Knot, sounded kind of creepy though.

    1. that dress is as if I designed it, Lyndy, both the shape and the colour :) It does look a lot like my designs, yes? You've seen my fashion work.

  9. Reese looks too thin in that picture. I really like her and hate to see these beautiful women become too skinny from the pressure of Hollywood. Merlin is one of my guilty pleasures. It's sweet and innocent ant takes me back to my childhood. Cheerful Wedding could be a good one as weddings and the craziness that surrounds the preparations can be epic.

Epic, I love that word and the one who used it first.

Glad you like the epic word :))

  11. Oh how I love Reese!!! I can't wait for all 3 of her movies to come out :) And Matthew McConaughey as her soul mate in one?? Ohh, I approve!!!

P.S. Every new hair cut I ever got was copied from a Reese Witherspoon picture. Love her hair!!

  12. Cult rituals, soul mates and a credit stealer, quite the mixture there. She usually makes pretty good movies though, not so sure one Legally Blonde 2, but it beats that direct to dvd God awful thing..haha...Merlin is still one I never watched, not sure why, just hasn't peaked my interest a ton I guess.

    1. I didn't like Legally Blonde 2 either cat. But you haven't seen Pillars of the Earth or Merlin. Too busy putting your poo into Pringle cans and licking your arse I imagine.

    2. @Cat
you might like MERLIN since you like, what I'd call "mild" shows. It's very innocent and lovely.

  15. I love Liam is going to be on Merlin. More hotness all around. LOL

I wonder if Devil's Knot is based on the Robin Hood Hills murders. Three teens were convicted of satanic cult murders back in 92 or 93. I saw the special on it on HBO back when I had the channel in the late 90's. Chilling story.

    1. Liam is quite a dapper gent, isn't he?
It's possible, you know I don't follow such stories, so I don't know.

  16. I do like Reese Witherspoon despite some poor films (and some samey performances). I have Water For Elephants ready to watch though so I'm looking forward to that. She was brilliant in Walk The Line which was removed from her usual dizzy blonde-type roles.

  18. That's quite a revealing dress on Reese Witherspoon, but I quite like it on her, she manages to still look classy in it. Not really interested in any of her upcoming movies though.

    1. it is, but it looks so elegant and classy on her. Her list of projects is rather bad, she is similar to Gerry Berry in that respect.

  20. A friend... um.. yes a friend of mine often dreams of spooning Ms Witherspoon. I don't know what that means, but I sure liked her a lot in Election. Does that mean I've got a sense of humor, Dezzy?

    1. hope it's not the same as being forked?
I did see someone being spooned in a jail show called OZ, but lets not go there, little kids are still awake....
