GERARD BUTLER GOES SF IN "AFTERBURN" AND ACTION IN "MANHUNT"! SYNOPSIS FOR HENRY CAVILL'S "MAN OF STEEL"! TOUCHING TRAILER FOR "GOODBYE FIRST LOVE"!

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" another comic book will get its movie adaptation: graphic novel AFTERBURN by Scott Chitwood
and Paul Ens in which the story is set in a future where solar flares have left half the world a ravaged wasteland filled with mutants and pirates. Buried beneath the ash and rubble are priceless artefacts, which wealthy Americans will pay any price for. The main hero is a treasure hunter who leads his team into the quarantine zone, facing rival bounty hunters, rogue armies, pirate gangs and deadly mutants along the way. The last time I've heard about the Relativity Media project, Gerard Butler was attached to star in the lead role, and Tobey Maguire is one of the producers. Speaking of Gerry Berry he will also star in MANHUNT, as a part of a team of FBI agents sent to the North Carolina wilderness to chase the FBI's most wanted man, domestic terrorist and survivalist James Tollan, who has eluded arrest with the support of the local population while attacking the federal government. They enroll the help of a reluctant bear
hunter to capture the killer. But once the team enters the woods, the hunters become the hunted as Tollan will stop at nothing to survive and defend his territory. Who chooses these roles for him?!?

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Speaking of sf, there's also another new project titled ALTER in which the story follows a team of scientists aboard a space station monitoring activity around a black hole when they receive a transmission showing their deaths at the hands of mysterious aliens. Meanwhile, Legendary
Pictures has finally revealed the official synopsis for next year's MAN OF STEEL: In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.

You know that situation when, after a long, and sometimes desperate search, you finally open your heart and find someone whom you will love to death, and you give yourself totally and innocently, and then that someone becomes
the death to your heart after leaving you for some reason which is unknown to that someone as well. And then you join the afterlife, chasing shadows and lurking in the darkness, trying to find light in order to guide your heart out. And then, a miracle happens, a third someone appears and gives you a hand, and a heart as well, and you finally breathe again and love again. And then the first someone comes back like a flash from the sky after realizing yours was the true love, you are what that someone needs. A realization that comes too late to that someone, only to hit you in the healed heart again and make you suffer? Well, it seems that's what this touching French film is about. GOODBYE FIRST LOVE is currently in limited release in USA, and it brings a chronicle of the romance between Camille and Sullivan, which begins during their adolescence. Check it out, you might be touched.
PS Don't forget that this Sunday I will bring you an exclusive interview with amazing Trevor Morris who composed brilliant scores and main themes in THE TUDORS, THE BORGIAS, IMMORTALS, THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN...

I've never been a huge fan of superman. His hair is always too perfect and his new suit looks like it could do with a wash ;)

    2. Well, I'd join the pirates so I could say, "Yargh!" all day and drink mead and have a merry ole time.

    3. but just imagine the stench of unwashed pirates on a small ship!

  7. Gerard Butler is the bain of my exsitence, thanks to Jax and her rules...hahaha....but yeah that second one really sounds like the role of a life time, pfft right. Hasn't that story been done hundreds of times? Superman, I hate superman, he's too much of a boyscout. Give me Batman anyday. Geez, you really tried to rip the heart out, such lovey dovey-ness I will avoid..haha

      What mistake now?

    5. For a moment I panicked. I thought you were offline. The only Batman I liked was Burton's. I liked the suit, the voice and Mr Multiplicity. Val Kilmer was OK, the movie was not. Number four does not exist in my universe: freeze! And the final two Batman movies... I don't know. I don't like the suit, which reminds me more of a bird than a bat, and that ridiculous voice: 'AM BATMAN!' We're not deaf and it sound absurd. Oh, let's not forget THIS Batman.

      What mistake? Here's a hint: the, a, an. ;)

    6. I liked the Burton Batman's the best too. Always liked Keaton, not lately but before his oh so serious turns. I'd hate that penguin too as he's a nutcase.

What can I say? I have a blue guy stalker following me..hahaha...see I was first so he is the follower.

when it comes to the articles, that's one thing someone who is not a native speaker will never learn 100%. Especially since my own Serbian doesn't have that grammatical category at all. The similar case is with prepositions.

yes, the Blue one is stalking me too, he left exactly 12 comments here in last few hours :) /Twilightzonemaintheme/

    9. Darling the Blue one and cat have an unholy alliance and it's been declared publicly on the evil one's page. It's now open season on the Blue one. His head will look lovely sitting over my catskin rug don't your think?

      Delete
    10. yep, but you will have to change your curtains in your throne chamber, the blue head doesn't really go with your current wallpaper.

      Delete
    11. Pffft the blue guy will jsut bore you with a grammar lesson and then the cat will leave you buried in pringle can feces. You will never WIN!

      Delete
    12. 'tis true, the blue one could eradicate us if he uses his grammar lessons as a weapon against us. Bored to death would be our destiny.

    13. I know, Dezz, I know. The funny thing is... most people don't know there are in fact many languages that don't need articles, so when a Chinese learner or someone from Poland or Russia doesn't use them, the average native speaker of English thinks they are dumb. I've got a similar problem with Spanish and French: I never get the gender of nouns right, so my adjectives stink, too. I mean beard is female!

      Delete
    14. @Anne - My head looks beautiful everywhere.

    15. beard is female in Serbian too :)) We have cases both for nouns and adjectives, and also for all pronouns :) It's a total hell for new learners.

    1. you do know that HOLLYWOOD SPY has been gossip world central back when Gerry Berry was shooting CORIOLANUS in Serbia? We followed his love actions around Belgrade and gave reports which brought us thousands and thousands of daily readers those days :)

Which part of him the Cat wants to bite, because I have a whole list too!

    2. The cat told Gerard to bite him not the other way around. Geez, blabber getting her rumors mixed up.

    4. I'd like to lick Gerard all over Dez. The cat has not sense whatsoever. He's just jealous that Gerard is masculine because he's not been snip snipped.

      Delete
    5. 'tis true, he is jealous on all of us who are not snip snip. Yesterday, when I told him me sometimes tastes like caramel, he told me he finds tasting other people's bodies disgusting, and I told him it's because he is snip snipped! :)

      Delete
    6. Well if the snip snip keeps the cat from tasting people, I guess it is a blessing.

    7. I hope that's just cat's and not Pat's opinion :)

  10. I've never seen that pic of GB in surfing suit holding a sword. He looks good but that is just ridiculous!

"Who chooses these roles for him?!?" I'm as baffled as you are, Dezzy. You know I like the guy but I feel like shaking him and go 'What are you doing to your career man? Would you please find something GOOD that doesn't involve some kind of officer roles or Die Hard-ish type of plots?!'

Btw, GOODBYE FIRST LOVE does sound intriguing.

  14. I'm sure everyone will be talking about that Superman costume. It leaves little to the imagination doesn't it? My favorite here today is the romance (surprised?). But you and I know the message in here is a good one for those who have a hurting heart. There is always that light that comes to a good and loving person who is in the dark spaces. Yes, this movies will be inspirational and can give hope to someone who is in need of it.

    3. Do you see now Dez? The Blue one and the cat are in league. Both of them are jealous of well endowed men because they themselves have no endowment.

      Delete
    4. there's a small difference, Annzie, The Blue one is jealous because he thinks he's the perdiest of all men, while the cat is jealous because his action days are over after being snip snipped.

      Delete
    5. I may get know action but you two are just jealous that we have the better faction

  16. To quote myself, seeing that Superman picture: 'Ooooooooh noooooooo no no no no shhhhhhhhhit!' He doesn't look like Superman. He looks like an X-man. And what's with the crotch? A supercrotch? I just know poor Christopher - God rest his soul - is crying in his grave as we speak. This Superman suit seems to have been made by the same folks responsible for the Captain America suit: let's make it vague and dirty and more serious-looking. Give me a break. But then they insist on sticking to the same haircut... well more or less. Dezz, this is so depressing. I just hope this Supe (soup?) doesn't get Lois pregnant, too. And what's with the eight-pack? Is that an alien thing?

As for the love story and definite spoiler... been there, won't be there again. Not today, I won't. Have you been there, I wonder. But seriously for a split second, This is what love is to me.

    1. the crotch is his main weapon, you can't remove it, although I volunteer to try manually.
Lois will be played by Amy Adams, and we are positive Supes won't impregnate her! Although we are sure she wouldn't mind if he did.

    2. I'm currently there, not the same story, but I'm more blue than green these days, that's for sure...

    3. Superman Returns was a disappointment and a rollercoaster. When it started and I heard Williams's score, I felt relieved. Then I saw Lois and I was disappointed. Then I saw that scene with him all alone above Lois's house and it felt right: Superman is about being all alone, and then I saw Lex and the violence and I was disappointed again. And to cap it all: here comes the child. Aaaaaawwwww!

I'm not sure if the French film Goodbye First Love will be on my short list of movies to watch anytime soon but I've been into Gerard Butler lately...(well, before I got REALLY into Jeremy Renner these last few weeks, lol), so I would probably watch Afterburn just because he's in it....sorta like I have no interest in The Avengers whatsoever but would go check it out solely based on the fact that Renner is in it.

That's not to say that I plan on going to see The Avengers any time soon but those plans may change since I have friends who are comic fans and will probably drag me to a theater with them, lol.
