TAYLOR LAUTNER WILL BECOME MAX STEEL?

The only werewolf whom girls actually like to see in their dreams, young Taylor Lautner from the infamous "Twilight" saga is ready to jump into the world of action figures. According to "MovieWeb" he will take on the role of Max Steel in the adaptation of the successful "Mattel" toy line.
The pupular toy has brought around $100 million so far to their designers and was also turned into an animated hit series. The film will revolve around Josh McGrath, a 19-year-old extreme sports athlete who becomes endowed with the powers of nano-technological machines. They take over his body, making him nearly invincible and allowing him to change his appearance at will.
Paramount Studios obviously think that Taylor, being one of the biggest sex symbols these days, could attract the female audience together with the boys who are already fans of Max Steel, when the movie appears in cinemas in 2011.

  1. I remember watching this show. Well I expect a G.I Joe type quality movie.

  2. :))) lady Avalon, now, admit it - what's great - the post or young mister Lautner :)

Yep, Jaccsy, a GI JOE type movie, but probably less entertaining and less fun.

  3. They should do it as an action comedy. We could use more action-comedies. :)

  4. I'm not sure Lautner is a humorous type of guy, but what the heck :)))

  5. I just had a bit of a rant about the whole sex symbolness (yes, symbolness) of Lautner, considering he's 17. At least he'll be over 18 when this one hits.

  6. I understand your point, R-Co, but Lautner is still extremely attractive to all those women and young teenage girls who made TWILIGHT an ultra successful blockbuster by going to cinema only to see him and Pattinson. I don't think that their attractiveness in this case is connected with sexual appeal, but probably more with romantic dreams and infatuations of teenage female audience.

  7. That would be so Dez, if only teenage girls were the audience of New Moon. However, on opening weekend in USA over 80% of audience were women, but evenly distributed between women over 25 and under 25 years of age. Those percentage would even be more in favor of "more mature" girls and women if they set that divider on, let's say, 21 years (and not on 25).
After all, girls do mature faster than boys, or so they would have us believe. :) By that reasoning most of the New Moon audiences were women and "mature" girls, and not little tween girls.
I'm not trying to say that older women are immature because they watched New Moon. I'm just saying it wasn't teenage girls who made that movie popular.

  8. yep, but the point wasn't actually on the age of the female viewers but on the difference between romantic and sexual :)

  9. I knew your point Dez. :) I just used an opportunity to say this wasn't a movie for teenage girls only.

  10. It's actually a movie used by the secret society of vampires and werewolves in an effort to make themselves popular among the normal, living folks, and thus conquer the world :))) I mean, who will fight them off after they seduce all the women :))
