PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL CHINESE ANIMATED ADVENTURE WHITE SNAKE OUT THIS NOVEMBER!

  'WHITE SNAKE'
CHINESE ANIMATED ADVENTURE
The film will hit selected theatres next month
This one already had its run in Chinese cinemas at the beginning of the year, but is hitting select theatres in Northern America November 29th! WHITE SNAKE is a Chinese animated adventure done in a co production with Warner Bros. The movie was quite a success in China scoring close to $70 million in their cinemas during their New Year season in February. It is based on one of China's four most popular folk tales, The Legend of the White Snake and follows a snake demon girl who falls for a kind hearted human in a story of forbidden love threatened by both earthly and otherworldly forces. You can check out the magnificent photos (click on them to see them in all their beauty) and trailer below and tell us what you think!

When Snake Hunter Falls 4 A Snake
As Variety reports, in the centre of the story is a snake spirit Blanca (voice by Zhang Zhe) who loses her memory while being disguised as a human woman and falls in love with a snake hunter. This strongly displeases her sister Verta (voice by Tang Xiaoxi) the green snake demon. When she gives Blanca a magical jade hairpin, Blanca is suddenly transported back to Tang Dynasty times. There, in a village nestled between magnificent stone pillars rising hundreds of yards into the sky, she meets Sean (Yang Tianxiang), a handsome hunter with a funny talking dog named Doudou (Zhang He), who is, together with the rest of the downtrodden villagers, forced to catch snakes for Dark General (Zhang Yaohan) and his sidekick Little General (Zhang Boheng), who believe vipers hold the key to supreme power! But Sean and Doudou will accompany Blanca on a quest to discover her identity and realize her destiny.

  2. It's visually beautiful. I can see why it did so well in China. Hopefully Netflix or Amazon will pick it up here.

    1. They had a couple of really successful animated flicks this year over there, Nezha being the biggest one, but I did not like the looks of its trailer.
