'THE BATTLE OF JANGSARI'
INEXPERIENCED HEROES OF WAR
The only thing I have for you today is the trailer and poster for war drama THE BATTLE OF JANGSARI which already aired in Korean cinemas last month and will hit the Northern American ones from October (October 4th
USA, October 11th Canada). Starring Myung Min Kim and Minho Choi alongside Hollywood star Megan Fox, it depicts the Battle of Incheon during the Korean War in 1950.
The film hits Northern American cinemas this month |
A guerilla army unit led by Captain Lee Myung Joon (Kim Myung Min)
and 772 student soldiers, including Choi Sung Pil (Minho Choi), are on
the ship Moonsanho and their destination is Jangsari. Their mission is
to deceive the North Koreans into thinking opposition forces would
launch a decisive invasion there. The real invasion and battle will take
place in Incheon one day later. The average age of the 772 student
soldiers on the ship was 17 and they had only 2 weeks of training.
With little ammunition, low food
supplies and second-hand weapons, the
soldiers head for the frontlines of Jangsari under a shower of bullets.
Based on the true story of forgotten heroes of the Korean War, can the
student soldiers successfully carry out their mission and turn the tide
of the war?
The movie is based on a real life story of war heroes! |
Trailer looks good, Megan playing a historical character too!
ReplyDeleteThey probably did not have budget for anyone more famous than her LOL
DeleteMegan Fox is still a thing? Thought she was long gone from our screens. I'll echo The Angry Lurker. The trailer did look really good!
ReplyDeleteIn Korea at least :)
DeleteI haven't seen or heard of Megan Fox in the longest time! Wow, she doesn't even look the same...
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked that she's had three or four kids in the meantime....
