'VERSAILLES' EPIC TV SERIES
EVAN M. WILLIAMS JOINS GEORGE BLAGDEN & ALEXANDER VLAHOS
While we are anxiously awaiting Autumn to bring us one of our most anticipated of the epic English language series VERSAILLES from French Canal + new casting updates are arriving from the set. The latest one to join our beloved George Blagden and magnetically charismatic Alexander Vlahos is Canadian hunk Evan M. Williams who is set to play Chevalier de Lorainne, favourite of Monsieur (Alexander Vlahos), the brother of King Louis XIV (George Blagden).
Ten episodes of VERSAILLES will be set in a world of power, betrayal,
lust, love, and declarations of war taking us into the most opulent
period in history, where the cult of celebrity was born. The year is
1667 and King Louis XIV is a 28-year-old monarch on the cusp of
greatness. A 17th century rock star and an utterly ruthless leader, he
will stop at nothing to achieve his vision of creating the most
beautiful palace in Europe and seizing absolute control of France and
his enemies.

'MACBETH' FULL TRAILER
WITH MICHAEL FASSBENDER AND MARION COTILLARD
Last month I showed you first clips from long awaited new movie adaptation of Shakespeare's MACBETH and now we finally get the first trailer! Directed by Justin Kurzel and bringing the 11th century epic drama into British cinemas October 7th, this fresh new take on the famous historical play will see popular Michael Fassbender portraying the devious Macbeth, a Scottish lord who will stop at nothing to become King with his ambitions fired up by his devoted and cruel wife Lady Macbeth played by Marion Cotillard. David Thewlis and Jack Reynor also star.
I like fitness, but I don't think I'd ever be able to scale a mountain. Just thinking about it makes me queasy!
ReplyDeleteMacbeth looks really good!
I'd never even try it, those people that climb mountains are careless and stupid, especially the ones with families waiting at home. We've had at least two young men from our city die at Everest, and it's just reckless... not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dollars that each climber spends on the trip... such a waste of much needed money
DeleteI'm so glad someone shares my and the opinions of these people. And they get so much attention for this foolishness. More attention that a surgeon who saves lives on a daily basis.
Deleteyep, because for fathomless reason reckless climbers are biggest heroes in our society than surgeons, doctors or scientists.... Only the pass at Everest costs about 70,000 euro, not to mention everything else, trip, equipment.... for what? To risk your life and do nothing?
DeleteAll these extreme sports people are alike. Guys who sale million dollar yachts round the world. And we're all supposed to go ooooh and aaaaah over them. Bollox to that.
Deletebollox and up theirs!
DeleteI completely agree! Definitely careless and wreckless. Those that scale up the side of huge rock walls too!
Deleteexactly!
DeleteJake G. was not recognizable.
ReplyDeletehe likes to be shirtless in all of his movies in recent years
DeleteI expect a lot of snow scenes lol
ReplyDeletebut of course
DeleteUm...
ReplyDeleteis that your whole case in front of the court, chancellor?
Delete'tis! Did I win?
Deleteyes, you won a trip to the prison where inmates are already waiting for you :)
DeleteTo be baptized by me?
Deleteonly if we send you to a female jail... which might be done if I pull some strings....
DeleteDo I have a choice?
Deletewhen did you ever? :)
DeleteGlad to see a full trailer for Macbeth. Moi rather likes Fassbender looking gritty, filthy and bloody. Especially when I think of the long, hot showers he must have to take to clean up after filming these scenes :0)
ReplyDeleteyes, in his case long are not only the showers :)
DeleteMmmmm do tell :0)
Deleteyou mean you haven't watched SHAME or HUNGER?
DeleteHail the King! Macbeth's trailer blew away all other mentions in this post. I am completely enraptured and must see this. Jamaica, don't you dare skip on this. The Everest trailer was good too.
ReplyDeleteWe did expect an artsy trailer and that is what we got!
DeleteCan hardly wait for Macbeth -- it looks terrific!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely!
DeleteI just read a review in the bible, er People magazine, last night about Everest, and now see your trailer. I really don't understand the quest just like you stated in your previous comments. Too much risk to climb a damn mountain.
ReplyDeleteespecially when you ain't risking just your stupid life but the lives of your family and friends too... It's just reckless and shallow not heroic
DeleteI love Jake Gyllenhaal. Donnie Darko was a nearly perfect movie IMHO.
ReplyDeletetoo darko for me, methinks :))
DeleteOh my does Jake Gyllenhaal look different! I am strangely attracted to him like that. .. hahaha
ReplyDeletehe developed muscles a few years ago and now can't have a film without shirtless scenes
DeleteI'd be interested in seeing Everest. That would be quite a story.
ReplyDeleteexciting for sure
