Walt Disney Pictures has just released a bunch of brand new high-resolution photos from the upcoming summer epic action-adventure "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time". Click on the image bellow to see the pics from the film which comes to cinemas May 28. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" tells a tale of a rogue prince (Jake Gyllenhaal) who reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

I'll always think Donnie Darko when I see Jake. Still he does fit this look pretty well though.
ReplyDeleteI really like Gemma Arterton's voice/accent. :) I liked her as narrator voice in trailer for Prince of Persia.
ReplyDeleteAnd I recognised that voice in theatre when I watched Clash of the Titans. I didn't know (forgot?) about her involvement in that film. I recognised her voice before I recognised her face.
She is cute, though. Even without her voice. :)
I always mistake Gemma's voice for Rachel Weisz' :)
ReplyDeleteHe looks stunning, Matthew, but he still looks like a Yankee wannabe-Persian :)
Jake Gyllenhaal, hubba hubba. :D
ReplyDeletehe is dashing with that hood, isn't he? :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog! This is my new one-stop site for upcoming movies and tv shows! Really very well done, Dezmond! Thanks for stopping by and following. I am very pleased to return the favor!
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not a HUGE fan of Jakeypoo (I DID like The Day After Tomorrow actually), but something about this movie intrigues me. And Gemma played Elizabeth Bennett in Lost in Austen (one of my favorite movies EVER), so I'm anxious to see her in something else.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this one.
ReplyDeleteI just can't see Jake as the main character here. It isn't really working for me - mostly because like Matthew, I just keep seeing him as Donnie Darko.
ReplyDelete@Tgoette
ReplyDeletethanks for your kind words ;) hope we'll be seeing you here often :)
@Kristin
it must be the exotic costume he's wearin' :)
Alex and Cassandra, thanx for droppin' by :)
That's an interesting looking dagger, even without its special powers.
ReplyDeleteToo bad it looks so fragile. I would be afraid to hold it more firmly. What if that glass grip/handle shatters? It could cut your hand badly. :)
Those pointy guards don't look too safe either. :))
Still, it's a beautiful ceremonial dagger.
Maybe it's made from some unbreakable gem or some other firm substance :) But the conclusion or a message could be - kids stay away from any kind of weapon be it ceremonial or not :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice
