WHO'S THE NEW BATMAN?
MICHAEL FASSBENDER, RYAN GOSLING, JOSH BROLIN?
One of the biggest pieces of movie news this summer was that the sequel to mega successful MAN OF STEEL will actually see Superman and Batman together. You also know that Henry Cavill will have some new actor playing Batman next to him. Although Armie Hammer was the previous candidate to play Batman, now there are rumours about some other stars in the role. Since the producers are searching for late 30s or 40s actor, the rumoured candidates are Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender, Matthew Goode and Joe Manganiello. Armie Hammer has declared recently that he is not interested in superhero roles. The sequel will feature a showdown between the two of DC's most popular comic characters. There were also previous rumours that DC is saving Karl Urban to lead the potential future BATMAN TV series.
FANTASTIC FOUR REBOOT
MILES TELLER & MICHAEL B. JORDAN WANTED IN THE CAST?
And that is not the only superhero project to have new casting rumours circling around it. The reboot of FANTASTIC FOUR, which should start shooting as soon as next month in Louisiana, is apparently planning to cast Miles Teller in the lead role of Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic who has the power of bending and flexing his body. Teller is currently shooting DIVERGENT. Since the producers have a younger cast in mind, young Michael B. Jordan from FRUITVALE STATION is apparently sought for the role of fiery Johnny Storm, and Allison Williams from GIRLS show is also in the run for one of the roles.

CHRIS EVANS TO
Speaking of superheroes, another of them, dashing Chris Evans, better known as CAPTAIN AMERICA (he is busy shooting the sequel THE WINTER SOLDIER), is preparing his directorial debut! According to the reports from 'Deadline' he will direct, produce and star in 1:30 TRAIN, before filming his Captain America part in AVENGERS 2. The movie has been described as a romance centred on two strangers who cross paths in Manhattan and decide to spend the night together. The conflicts in their own lives will become the basis for their exploration of each other and themselves drawing them closer.
I really should have read more comic books when I was a kid. I can't keep all these superheroes groups straight.
ReplyDeleteBut more importantly...don't Michael Fass My Bender's eyes match his gray shirt beautifully. :)
his eyes match pretty much any shirt :) and no shirt too :)
DeleteI've never read those superhero comics in my life. I grew up on Asterix and Obelix, Prince Valiant, Lucky Luke and such things....
no more reboots... i cannot take it anymore, band wagon movies is going to get old and people are going to stop seeing the obvious ones. iron man is a billion dollar film... FF is going to be a whole lot less...
ReplyDeleteFF smells like a huge flop even before it entered production, especially if they don't do it with big stars.
Deletedidn't know he wanted to direct
ReplyDeleteme neither, but he's a quality actor and will be good as a director as well, I'm sure
DeleteIoan Gruffudd was wasted in the Fantastic Four series anyways. Just as well he won't be back.
ReplyDeleteYep, a great actor which wasn't used suitably in it :( The cast of that one was quite nice, but the script was relatively bad
DeleteI would SO change my name if it was Fassbender!! How many times do you think the poor dude heard Assbender as a kid????
ReplyDeletemethinks his surname is pronounced as fezbinder, so no ass in it, although his own is nom nom nom :)
DeleteNo,it´s really Fassbender
ReplyDeleteWe still love him with or without the "ass" :P But since he is of German/Irish origin, I know that Germans would pronounce that German surname with fazbinder
DeleteWe don't go to many movies, (I know... blasphemy!) but I have great appreciation for the inside info and pictures you post. They stimulate my, um, intellect. Yeah, that's it...
ReplyDeletedon't feel bad, Suze, that's why most people come over - for some visual stimulation :)
DeleteWhy can't Hollywood come up with something fresh? I'd even like to see a good old anti-hero come around again instead of another panoply of superheroes.
ReplyDeleteI hear you. While I love superheroes, I'm tired of all them because they don't seem to want to do Wonder Woman and we need some great female heroes NOT more Sue Storm, who has no real powers.
DeleteWonder Woman is still in plan, both as a film and as a TV series :)
DeleteMichael would make a delicious Batman, but he would have to wear too many clothes. He needs to do another 300 type film. ;D
ReplyDeleteyes, indeed :) He does have that epic film on Irish hero Chuculain or whatever he is called, in plan :)
DeleteYou know, all of those candidates would make a great Bruce Wayne/Batman. Tough to choose between them. I'm pretty stoked about that movie, although I wish they'd also do a good Wonder Woman movie.
ReplyDeleteJay, for some reason when people click on your avatar here Bloggers says that your profile isn't available, so we are unable to reach your blog :(
DeleteMore pretty pictures....:) Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeletebe welcome :)
DeleteIsn't this just a yummy pic post! I would totally be on board with a good Wonder Woman film. She is my favorite superhero, after all!
ReplyDeletewe serve yummy treats almost every day here :)
DeleteFassbender would certainly fill out the costume nicely.
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Chris is nice-his eyes just stopped me cold. Riveting I would say.
yep, it is quite beneficial for human health to stare at Chris' pic at least ten minutes each day....
DeleteAs long as they keep making money, they will keep filming them! I care not which one they choose...
ReplyDelete'tis true, Pat, they're milking it big time
DeleteNot a really big fan of the Fantastic 4. Honestly not that fantastic compared to some of the other Marvel heroes.
ReplyDeleteI don't think they have many fans either
DeleteBatman TV series??????
ReplyDeleteyep, they were some secret plans to make it after the bat flies out of cinemas, probably sometime in three or four years.
