As you know, starring Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens, "Sucker Punch" is a film about a young girl who is put into asylum from which she embarks on an unbelievable fantasy adventure with her new friends, the other girls from the mental institution. The movie is directed by the visual genious Zack Snyder whose previous movies "300" and "Watchmen" have set some new levels in the movie industry. Zack also has another movie coming out this Autumn - the mesmerizing epic tale with spellbinding animation "Legends of the Guardians: the Owls of Ga Hoole".

ReplyDeleteespecially the moment in the first part of the trailer when you get an illusion that Emily Browning is full naked on the stage.
ReplyDeleteI still didn't find anything special about leading actress, or her costars. :( Not particularly attractive, or believable in action scenes. There are many other actresses who would suit my tastes much better.

I dunno.....hot chicks kicking ass, I dunno if this is my kind of movie...

ReplyDeleteThe trailer doesn't really tell me much what the movie is really about, if it is about anything. It looks like a composite of about 10 other films thrown together into one.

ReplyDeletewell, the point is that those actresses are mainly sweet teen stars whom the audience hasn't seen in this light before so the idea was to shock the viewers with them suddenly appearing in a crazy movie like this. It's as if a director would put Ana Nikolic to play Virgin Mary but in a vice versa way :)

ReplyDeletewell, the crazy chaotic plot is the main point of the movie. I've written about the plot before last week but here it is again just for you :) - After a girl is locked in an asylum by her evil stepdad, she then retreats into a multi-level fantasy world where she and her friends are the star attractions in a Moulin Rouge-esque night club brothel, and sexy warriors battling robotic Germans in a stylized version of the First World War. They also fight dragons and knights in a medieval world, kick alien butt on a futuristic planet, and battle giant samurai in an ancient temple.
ooooh, I can't wait! I've not heard of this one but it sounds and looks bloody fantastic!
