DISNEY'S 'PETE'S DRAGON' REMAKE TRAILER WITH BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD, KARL URBAN, ROBERT REDFORD! EMILIA CLARKE TO LEAD 'SET IT UP' ROMANTIC COMEDY

EMILIA CLARKE TO LEAD
'SET IT UP' ROMANTIC FILM
Only a week or so ago I showed you the beautiful first trailer for Emilia Clarke's and Sam Claflin's heartwarming romance ME BEFORE YOU and now we already have news of The Dragon Queen's new gig: as 'Deadline' writes she will star in SET IT UP! A romantic comedy in the vein of  the wonderfully popular 'The Devil Wears Prada' SET IT UP is also set in the corporate world following two overworked assistants with nasty bosses who try to get their supervisors out of their hair, by setting them up romantically. She has also finished shooting 1950's VOICE FROM THE STONE, about a solemn nurse drawn to aid a young boy who has fallen silent since the passing of his mother.

'PETE'S DRAGON' TRAILER
WITH BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD, KARL URBAN, ROBERT REDFORD
Disney has finally released the first trailer for their long awaited remake of famous PETE'S DRAGON which flies into cinemas near you  this August!
For years, old wood carver Mr. Meacham (Robert Redford) has delighted local children with his tales of the fierce dragon that resides deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. To his daughter, Grace (Bryce Dallas Howard), who works as a forest ranger, these stories are little more than tall tales. Until she takes in Pete (Oakes Fegley), a mysterious boy with no family who claims to live in the woods with a giant, green dragon named Elliott. And from Pete's descriptions, Elliott seems remarkably similar to the dragon from the stories. With the help of Natalie (Oona Laurence), an 11-year-old girl whose father Jack (Wes Bentley) owns the local lumber mill, Grace sets out to determine where Pete came from, where he belongs, and the truth about this dragon. Karl Urban also stars!

  1. It's still hard to accept that Robert Redford is now acting the "old man and grandfather" roles.

    1. but he really does look extremely old, he is definitely one of those who did not age well. I still can't grasp that some stars are 50. Or that Stockard Channing whom we mentioned yesterday is well over 70!

    2. Stockard Channing still looks gorgeous to me. Redford, not so much. Gravity has not been good to his face :0)

    3. True, dear, although if you've seen Stockard in recent months, you'd see she visited a plastic surgeon who gave her an absurd amount of botox and now she's very strange. But still looking much younger than a woman of eight decades

    4. The pressure to be perpetually young in Hollywood is tremendous. Those surgeons have gotten very wealthy over it.

    5. and the wealth does not equal quality in their case. I don't think I've ever seen a Hollywood lady with good plastic job.

  4. Set It Up sounds feel good fun especially wit Emilia Clarke in it. I wonder who they would be casting as their nasty bosses.

  6. I wanna see Pete's Dragon! I'm so glad they gave us at least a small look at the dragon in the trailer. Sometimes trailers stop just short of showing you what you want to see.

We just has to go dragon riding together darling. We could rule the skies from our fiery mounts!

    1. I do like it that they didn't show too much because seeing the dragon will be the point of watching the movie :) Kinda like the FLORENCE trailer with Meryl Streep I posted last week in which you do not hear her horrid singing voice because that is the point of going to the movies :)

    2. Several months ago I saw a short documentary on the woman Florence Foster and it was pretty good. The poor woman had no idea just how bad she was. I'd like to hear a recording of her performance at Carnegie hall, so I know just how bad, bad was.

  8. Emilia is diversifying her portfolio. Not so convinced about seeing Pete's Dragon at the movies yet. But there is still time until Summer.

    1. PETE'S DRAGON does have that magical cinematic vibe, like in old movies, no violence, no darkness, just pure family fun. Wish more movies were like that instead of glorifying villains and violence like SUICIDE SQUARD or DEADPOOL

  9. Okay, now I have the old Pete's Dragon soundtrack stuck in my head. Not sure if the remake is a good thing or not.
