1ST CHARACTER POSTERS FOR "THE HUNGER GAMES"! 1ST TRAILER FOR "THE LORAX"! KATE BECKINSALE COULD JOIN TOM CRUISE IN "HORIZONS"! ANNE HATHAWAY IN "PUZZLER" THRILLER

 A number of character posters has been revealed today around the net for next year's fantasy movie THE HUNGER GAMES. As
you know the highly anticipated film is the adaptation of popular Young Adult series of novels by Suzanne Collins. The story is set in a dystopian Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl who are forced to participate in the annual HUNGER GAMES, a fight to the death on live TV. When Katniss Everdeen's little sister is chosen in the lottery, Katniss volunteers to take her place. Although persevering through hardship is commonplace for Katniss, she must start making choices that weigh survival against
humanity and life against love in order to win the games and return home. Absolutely not my cup of tea, but I know many of you liked the books, so I'm sure you will enjoy these posters too showing Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne in the
lead roles alongside Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, Amandla Stenberg as Rue, Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, and Alexander Ludwig as Cato.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
As you remember, Tom Cruise will star in sf epic HORIZONS, set on Earth which has become toxic for humans and is inhabited by drones. Cruise plays one of the last men
on Earth, a drone mechanic who discovers the wreckage of a female pilot down on Earth and goes on a journey of discovery with the woman. Well, according to latest rumors Kate Beckinsale, Hayley Atwell and Diane Kruger are currently main candidates for the female role. After a bunch of romantic and comedy roles, it seems that Anne Hathaway is moving to a darker  genre. Beside trying to look like Catwoman in that horrid film, she will now star in PUZZLER too. According to "Deadline" it will be a female driven thriller in the vein of THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR. Anne will also produce the film.

And your trailer for today is for Universal's THE LORAX,  animated movie premiering next March. The 3D movie is an adaptation of Dr. Seuss' classic tale of a forest creature who shares
the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a boy as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature
who fights to protect his world. A rather stellar voice cast includes Danny De Vito, Betty White, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift... Check out the trailer bellow.

  5. A Dr.Suess movie doesn't that cause glee, okay not really..haha. Most have been rather lacking, but this one could be good. The hunger games looks like it might be good too, even if it's a teenage The Running Man.

  6. Even in the cartoon world, Danny DeVito can't be tall... poor Danny.

    @Adam
    she's getting pretty much all the roles in Hollywood, for reasons unknown

    @Jamie
    I despise that movie with every molecule of my body. And the director too. An emotion quite unusual for me

    @Lyndy
    it's a cool doorbell isn't it :) I was swept away by the colours. I don't know the story, but I love the rich luxurious colours in it.

  24. Is it just me, or do those three guys in that second picture look almost the same? So much for variety.

    THE LORAX looks amazing. One of my favorite stories.

  25. it's just the pic, Liam and Josh are total opposites - a hunk and a charming nerd :)

  26. ooo... I saw those Hunger Games posters, and they look AWESOME. And The Lorax! Yay!!! :o)

  27. Although I can never rate Kate Beckinsale for her acting abilities, I'm always glad to see her in front of the camera.

  28. Hmm, I can't decide on whether or not I like the posters. not what I expected but very intriguing. I LOVED the books something crazy, so we shall see if the movies live up to the books. I missed you!!!

  29. @Leigh
    yay yay yay :)

    @Dan
    you, know, now that you mention it, Danzel, I'm also not sure about her acting abilities. She is not bad, but she never really had any deeper role, did she? Kinda like Mila Jovovich, but for Mila we at least know that she has no talent whatsoever.

    @Kelley
    I did change the posters a bit :), I mean, I connected them into one :)

  30. Yeah, I don't think I'm all that interested in the Hunger Games either. It sounds like an American version of Battle Royale.

    The Lorax however, sounds good.

  31. I'm so looking forward to 'The Hunger Games'. I can't imagine the film to be bad; the story's too strong for that. Don't quote me on this, though. :-)

  32. I'm mildly curious about Hunger Games, we'll see if it lives up to the hype.

    Kate Beckinsale is one gorgeous lady. She looked beautiful at Comic-con as well, her husband is cute, too :D
