whom the producers gave the offer for the job after she left them breathless during her performance at Cannes Film Festival, and now, according to the latest news the song which will promote the movie could be sang by British sensation Adele. Appearing in one of the British chat shows, Adele has revealed that she is working on a movie song and that it could be the one for JAMES BOND 23 although she didn't want to reveal any details. If you ask me that sounds like a brilliant idea, since Adele truly is a breath of fresh air and a storm of natural talent in the current world of superficial and talentless pop tarts.
VENICE FASHION REPORT
Since it's the beginning of the week and there aren't many film news, I thought I'd show you a few pictures from the glamorous 68TH VENICE FILM FESTIVAL which is currently being held in Italy. There were many premieres at the festival, and there
were also many celebs: Kate Winslet looked stunning in her cappuccino dress promoting her new film CARNAGE, Gwyneth Paltrow shined on the red carpet at the premiere of the upcoming viral thriller CONTAGION, while two most handsome gents were Michael Fassbender and Vincent Cassell at the premiere of A DANGEROUS METHOD. Two other beauties were spotted at the
premiere of George Clooney's THE IDES OF MARCH - Evan Rachel Wood and Diane Kruger, both in white gowns. Gorgeous Abbie Cornish has had a flop of a dress at the equally floppish premiere of Madonna's new film W.E. which got trashed and buried by the critics. How do you like their red carpet outfits? Click on the pics to see them bigger.

Now, here's something fresh and unusual: charming and delightful trailer for Luc Besson produced animated movie A MONSTER IN PARIS. Set in Paris,1910 it follows Emile, a shy movie
projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, who find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Bird of Paradise cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey, to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city's ruthlessly ambitious police chief. Brilliantly crafted animation, action, comedy, romance and catchy musical numbers are just some of the things you will see in the film which premieres this October in France. The voice cast includes Vanessa Paradis, the mother of Johnny Depp's kids.
aha cuo sam za Jelenu samo napred!!!
ReplyDeleteKate Winslet always looks fantastic. Love her. And Mr. Fass my Benders is looking sharp as well. :D
ReplyDeleteThe animation is cute, though I don't generally end up seeing most of those anymore.
@Coneforce
ReplyDeletenadajmo se da je ta prica istinita :)
@Luanne
yep, Kate is always stunning, and Fass My Benders is always seductive :)
Dezzy - A MONSTER IN PARIS looks wonderful. And I love Kate Winslet's dress. She's gorgeous and a fav actress of mine. Have you seen THE HOLIDAY? Loved her in that movie. A meet cute. The perfect moment in a romance. In my novel, he's at the river, she needs a drink... Anyway, if you haven't seen it, you should. You might like it. =D
ReplyDeleteI hated the pairing of her and horrid Jack Black in that movie. She should've been paired up with Jude Law in it.
ReplyDeleteI love Adele's voice and so I can't wait for that. Paltrow always looks stunning but now I want to learn more about Madonna's flop movie. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteLove the trailer.
bet you'd never guess that I LOVE the look of a Monster in Paris... lol. Can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteKate's dress looks a little...frumpy. It would be better if it was slightly shorter. Just saying. ;)
I want to rock that purple dress.
ReplyDeleteWow... true talent instead of a talentless pop tart... how novel. Hollywood should pay attention. A MONSTER IN PARIS looks fun. I hope it's in 3D.
ReplyDeletewow! a cellist and adele! that has awesome written all over it!
ReplyDeleteI love Adele! I so agree I didn't like Kate and Jack Black paired up in that movie. No way believable to me~ Kate should of been with Jude.
ReplyDeleteKate looks great, as always~
Monster in Paris looks like a lot of fun :)
ReplyDeleteAdele doing a bond movie song would be something else, Luc Besson does animation, now that's worth a look.
ReplyDeleteAdele is stunning and a beautiful singer. Great voice, well when she sings!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this one Dezzy
I love the idea of Adele singing the next Bond theme. Great voice, great talent.
ReplyDeleteAdele for the upcoming James Bond soundtrack would be very brilliant!
ReplyDelete@Clarissa
ReplyDeletecritics cried at the premiere of Madonna's new W.I. film because it was that bad :) But nobody really expected anything good from that silly old bat :)
@Lyndy
it is true, the dress would be better if it was shorter and it would've been also better if she wore different shoes - maybe some cappuccino or beige shoes with open toes.
@Libby
ReplyDeletethe dress wasn't all that bad, but it made her look fat and short, it definitely wasn't a dress for her. Her body and face demand floating dresses.
@Doralynn
I'm not sure, but I think it is in 3D :)
@Vics
wouldn't it be a marvelous combination? Oh, god, please let it happen :)
@Ella
ReplyDeleteyep, and I was also shocked and appalled when they've put JAck Black with Emily Blunt in GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. For some reason, that horrid person keeps getting the most refined ladies as partners :((((
@Jamie
it does!
@Lurk
he did ARTHUR AND MINIMOYS a few years ago, but this time he's only producing if I got it right
@Scott
ReplyDeleteshe is a great singer and also very pretty especially now when she lost a few pounds so her face became even prettier. I also like the way she dresses and acts on stage.
@Dan
we're keeping our fingers crossed that it will really happen. After horrid songs from MAdonna and Alicia Keys, Bond needs a real tune.
@Jaccsy
totally brilliant!
Adele is the perfect choice to voice a song for James Bond.
ReplyDeleteshe is, indeed!
ReplyDeleteooo, love the fashions. And wow! Adele to sing a 007 number. That sounds exactly right. Monster in Paris sounds right up my alley~ ooh la la!
ReplyDeleteA Monster in Paris looks like a lot of things put into one movie. I do like those kind of animated films though so we'll see what happens. And I, like so many others, want that purple dress as well...lol
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh how you mentioned Vanessa Paradis! Btw thanks for that poster :) I'd rather see the Belgian version me thinks , the Flemish one that is. I like Kate's cut but not the color, miss Fassbenders curls, Abbie looks horrid & worse that make-up with, Gwyneth's cut doesn't flatter her, Diane looks stunning & Evan almost a lady striking a pose! Adele with Bond is making me think they might strike gold ... as in goldfinger!
ReplyDeleteAdele would be a great choice for the next Bond theme, and A monster in Paris looks like it could be fun
ReplyDeleteA Monster in Paris looks like one of the very few animated films to have come out lately that
ReplyDeleteI might enjoy....
@Leigh
ReplyDeleteOK, OK, we all know you've been to Paris, no need to rub it into our noses :PPPP
@Kelley
purple is everyone's favourite colour, I think :)
@Fanny
I like Fassbender with short hair :) Yep, Abbie doesn't look good in that dress, and Gwyneth's dresses never really flatter her, she made a style out of it :)
@Dirty
ReplyDeleteindeed she would! Glad you like A MONSTER IN PARIS
@Drew
yep, it seems weird enough for you :PPPP
Cool. I love Adele.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't actually noticed her shoes (um-ah). I LOVE the shoes but you are right--not with the dress.
ReplyDelete@Jo
ReplyDeleteglad to hear that, Jo!
@Lyndy
what kind of stylist are you if you didn't notice the shoes? :PPP They're a bit trashy, and this dress calls for some the retro shoes with open toes and high heels which are rather modern these days. Old Hollywood style :)
Jelena Mihailovic? I'm all about the cello; been downloading as much Zoe Keating as possible. Thanks for the heads-up!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Adele doing a Bond song, I love her voice. I'd love to see her have a cameo as a lounge singer or something that Bond made a pass at :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a stylist that doesn't include shoes :P
ReplyDeletePersonally I think shoes should be outlawed--especially high heels. The things we do to ourselves for fashion!
@Milo
ReplyDeleteglad you like it, Milo, cello really makes the most beautiful sound ;)
@Flixy
he he it would be super cool seeing Bond making a pass on Adele :))
@Lyndy
he he ;) What? Outlaw shoes? What would be the point of living without shoes?? :) What would I spend my money on if shoes get banned? What would cure my psychotic behaviour and depressions without shoe shopping? :))
A Monster in Paris looks like a really charming film, a new Phantom of the Opera, though the trailer reminds me of the musical GiGi.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to all your questions: a good book ;)
ReplyDelete@Fabo
ReplyDeleteyep, it has some of that French magic in it :)
@Lyndy
not in my case, as you know I'm unable to read books for relaxation since I keep seeing language structures, linguistic elements, semantics etc. instead of the story :(
And besides, isn't the answer to all those question chocolate, at least in your case? :P
woo more adele!
ReplyDeleteha! You make an excellent point! Chocolate beats all! :)
