JUDI DENCH TO RULE ROYALY AGAIN IN 'VICTORIA AND ABDUL'! 'ANTHROPOID' WW2 TRAILER WITH JAMIE DORNAN, CILLIAN MURPHY, HARRY LLOYD! STEVEN LUND JOINS 'REIGN' EPIC SERIES

 JUDI DENCH TO RULE AGAIN
IN 'VICTORIA AND ABDUL'
Believe it or not, dame Judi Dench will play Queen Victoria again after  MRS. BROWN! She will play her in Stephen Frears' BBC Films' movie VICTORIA AND ABDUL, the true story of an unexpected friendship in the later years of her dark and violent rule. When Abdul Karim, a young clerk, travels from India to participate in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee, he is surprised to find favour with the Queen herself. As the Queen questions the constrictions of her long-held position, the two forge an unlikely and devoted alliance with a loyalty to one another that her household and inner circle all attempt to destroy. As the friendship deepens, the Queen begins to see a changing world through new eyes and joyfully reclaims her humanity.

 STEVEN LUND JOINS
'REIGN' EPIC SEASON FOUR
Meanwhile, over at CW they've continuing casting for the fourth season of their REIGN epic series about Mary Queen of Scots which will, now, be set on three courts, the one in Scotland, Elizabeth's in London and the one in France. I've told you that one of the new male roles will be the role of lord Narcisse's (Craig Parker) son and it just went to Steven Lund. He will be Luc, a sexy, highborn rogue who is also a plain speaking realist. He’s a good guy who happens to have a morally compromised and very powerful father: Lord Stephan Narcisse. But he is his own man, eyeing his own future, even as his father pressures him to make lasting and permanent inroads with the French royal family. Specifically, Narcisse wants his son at Princess Claude’s (Rose Williams) side. His arrival will complicate Claude’s life in ways she could never have imagined!

 'ANTHROPOID' WW2 TRAILER

Your trailer for the end of the week comes from World War 2 action thriller ANTHROPOID which arrives into cinemas this August starring Jamie Dornan, Harry Lloyd and Cillian Murphy! Based on the extraordinary true story of Operation Anthropoid, the WWII mission to assassinate SS General Reinhard Heydrich, the main architect behind the Final Solution and the Reich's third in command after Hitler and Himmler.

  3. Anthropoid looks promising but will it do well in theaters though? I have a feeling Luc is either going to die or go from a great life to an awful one. Just a tiny prediction.

    1. it is not a movie that has a plan of doing well in theatres since it is not a big studio production :)

Luc does look awfully alike his daddy Narcisse, does not he?

  4. Such good fare on the menu today darling. I've never heard this story about Queen Fat Arse. Is it true do you think? I shall watch it just to see Dench work. I adored her in Mrs. Brown with Billy Connolly. Connolly has Parkinson's but he seems to be holding his spirit up in spite of it. One of my favourite comedians from when I was young.

And for mains you have Dornan and Murphy together. I won't be missing that one and may even watch it three or four times. Hell, I'd even watch that in German with no subtitles :0)

    1. Didn't know Connolly is ill :( Judi also keeps telling people she is ill, but I think she's a bit hypochondriac :) because she is just shortsighted and needs to wear glasses but does not want to so she keeps telling people she is about to go blind :) She also played Queen Lizzie and got an Oscar for it in SHAKESPEARE IN LURV, remember? She is ever so regal, she is....

There is Harry Llloyd in it too, whom I lurv deary too, he is one of my secret sins, that one is....

    2. I have heard that she is having vision problems and has taken to learning her lines by having someone speak them into a recorder. She then learns the lines from listening to them.

    3. yes, that is what I've heard as well, but I also understood she could be wearing lenses or glasses but is one of those people who don't want to :) Like, I'm too young to wear glasses. Lady, you're over 80 :)

  10. We always love seeing Judi Dench. I am sure she will be brilliant in this role.

Mr. Dornan has come to grow on me a bit. While originally not my cup of tea, I have found him to be quite sexy as of late ;)
