FELICITY HUFFMAN
TO LEAD 'HOUSE OF MOORE' FASHION WORLD SET ABC SERIES
Well, we haven't had a fashion world set drama in a long time on TV and 'Deadline' reports that DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and AMERICAN CRIME star Felicity Huffman might lead the cast in HOUSE OF MOORE, a dark one hour comedy which will also be executive produced by her.
Written and to be directed by Daniel Barnz, HOUSE OF MOORE is said to
be similar in tone to ''The Devil Wears Prada'' and will explore
plus-size fashion. It centres on the sexy, twisted lives of an iconic
fashion family, looking at our beauty obsessed culture through a darkly
comedic lens.
'THE MAGICIANS' SF SERIES
GETS A BRAND NEW TRAILER
And over from New York Comic Con comes a new trailer for SyFy's upcoming new sf series THE MAGICIANS based on Lev Grossman's books! Starting next January it stars Jason Ralph as Quentin Coldwater, a brilliant grad student who enrols in Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy, a secret upstate New York university specializing in magic. He and his 20 something friends soon discover that the magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real— and poses grave danger to humanity. Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, and Summer Bishil also star in this one-hour drama.
I like Felicity Huffman. She's a woman with substance. Can't say that often about Hollywood starlets ...
ReplyDeleteon the other hand, with that type of body she can hardly be a starlet :)
DeletePuh. She looks bloody good - for her age :)
ReplyDeletebut then again, she looks much older than Marcia Cross who is actually older than her, and she looks at least ten years older than Terry Hatcher who is just three years younger :)
DeleteBut she doesn't look plastic like Marcia does either. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of all the DH ladies, but Felicia seems like the most approachable, down to earth one of the bunch. I really like her!
DeleteBut Marcia hasn't had surgeries, she's just very skinny like that and has that bone structure.
DeleteHey Wendy!
DeleteHi Theresa!
You're here too, Dezmeister?
A TV show about fashion sounds interesting! I just rewatched Desperate Housewives on Hulu Plus and it left me disturbed. I wrote a blog about it that'll post next week, I think...but I was better off having only watched the first couple of seasons. The show went way off the rails in the end!
ReplyDeleteit is true, they've turned into a crime show later on which I've never liked. They should've kept to their domestic shenanigans and comedy and soap instead of mystery.... I've never seen the last season and the final episode.
DeleteThat's a different type of show, but I'm not too sure if I'll be tuning in. I typically like a little more action ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat more action do you need than levitating girls and cards flying like projectiles :)
DeleteI meant hunky action. Lol!!!!!
Deletethere might be some hunks at the campus, we have to wait and see
DeleteHope they're good ones.
ReplyDeleteHow are you, Dez?
A bit frozen :) Winter has come over here before Autumn :( The thought of heating bills gives me creeps
DeleteI am intrigued by The Magicians. I read the book and its sequel and liked it quite a bit. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting if the kids aren't brats :)
DeleteI've liked Felicity since Sports Night, a show from the 1990s.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know she was active before HOUSEWIVES!
DeleteGlad to see Felicity Huffman coming back on screen and the show sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteShe is still on the screen, her AMERICAN CRIME is in its third or fourth season, methinks and she won't quit it even if this one gets ordered.
DeleteI might add Magicians to my Tivo. We'll see how much space I want to allocate for new shows in the upcoming year.
ReplyDeletewe might give it a try with the first episode, depending on its airing time. They've cancelled DOMINION yesterday so they will have space for new shows next year
DeleteAnd what about.... your magic?
ReplyDeleteI'm to powerful for those brats! I could, maybe, teach at their college? The course in Supreme Science of Dezziness! Not that it can be taught, right? Right?
DeleteThere's no way.
Deleteabsolutely
DeleteAbsolutely no way or absolutely, no way?
