STUNNING "TO THE ARCTIC" TRAILER! KRISTEN BELL IS "FROZEN"! "TERRA NOVA" CANCELLED! ROSE BYRNE, ANNA FARIS, SIMON BAKER IN "I GIVE IT A YEAR"! "JOURNEY II" ADVENTURE GETS THIRD PART

According to "The Hollywood Reporter" Disney is finally moving on with their animated film called FROZEN based on the famous fairy
tale about the Snow Queen and it has been revealed that Kristen Bell will both lend her voice to the lead character and sing the songs in it since it will be a musical animated film.  Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is doing a film adaptation of BOLIVAR graphic novel about a young woman named Sybil, who moves to New York City and discovers her new neighbor is the last dinosaur left on Earth, named Bolivar, whom she then befriends. The sad news of the day is that Fox has cancelled TERRA NOVA. But the extremely expensive Steven Spielberg's show about a human colony on Prehistoric Earth might move to some other channel.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEAD LINES
You know how much HOLLYWOOD SPY supports romantic films, so here's a new one: "Variety" reports that Rose Byrne and Raffe Spall will play a mismatched couple struggling through their first year of marriage in I GIVE IT A YEAR in which Anna Faris and Simon Baker will play important supporting roles. Another interesting news comes from Warner Bros. They've decided to greenlight the third
instalment of the famous adventure franchise JOURNEY 3 since JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND with Josh Hutcherson, Michael Kaine, Dwayne Johnson and Vanessa Hudgens has already earned almost $300 million around the world less than two months from its release. As you known all parts of this adventure are based on Jules Verne books.

The only trailer I have for you is a bit unusual, since it isn't for a live action or animated movie but for a documentary one - TO THE
ARCTIC 3D
. Narrated by Meryl Streep and opening in cinemas April 20th, this extraordinary journey to the top of the world tells the ultimate tale of survival taking audiences on a never before experienced journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her twin seven month old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home. Captivating, adventurous and intimate footage brings moviegoers up close and personal with this family's struggle to survive in a frigid environment of melting ice, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls, and majestic snow-bound peaks.

    3. Are all your parts blue, RCB? :)And what does RCB stand for? I've never asked you..

    4. RCB is my name: Randy Cliffort Bax. Even my blood is blue - and like what I said about living across the zoo - that ain't no joke either. I've got a serious pedigree on my Momma's side that I never mention to anybody, so keep it on the lowdown, Dez!

  5. I'm not surprised about Terra Nova. I struggled to warm to it.

I LOVE To The Arctic. Beautiful footage. And the poster is gorgeous.

    1. I also wanted to warm up to TERRA NOVA, but it just had very weak storylines as if it was a crime and forensic show not a prehistoric one. I stopped watching after 7th or 8th episode when they put THE WALKING DEAD in the same time slot but on another channel :)

    2. ha, I watched all of the first season because nothing else was on, but still, that was an act of desperation, not enjoyment. I guess I really should have used the time to read a good book instead!

    3. don't tell me that O'Mara hunk wasn't a reason enough to watch it :)))

    4. close, but no. Of course, if it was Johnny, that would've been something else entirely ;)

  8. I wish Disney would be able to make 2d animated ones like they used too, they haven't had that spark to them in almost 2 decades. I highly doubt Terra Nova will move to another network if Fox couldn't afford it.

    1. they make a hand drawn animated film every three years or so :) I wrote about that last year. The last one was PRINCESS AND THE FROG and the next one will be... I forgot which one.. but it is scheduled for next year or something like that.
TERRA NOVA was cancelled more for bad ratings, and less for expenses :)

    2. Yeah but even their last couple hand drawn ones haven't been that good, they were okay, but nothing like the previous ones. They need one along the standards of the lion king and aladdin and such.

Still, I highly doubt it will get picked up elsewhere, but you never know. At least maybe Fringe will get a last season since Fox is axing everything else.

    3. there's a gossip that Netflix might pick up TERRA NOVA along with some other cancelled shows and sitcoms.

  9. I'm not real interested in the Disney film Frozen about the Snow Queen, but Bolivar looks like fun. The Arctic would be great for me. The polar bear is so well adapted to that unique environment that I find them fascinating. And although I do not love cold weather, if there was any way I could go to the Arctic and photograph it, I would do it in a heartbeat. (As long as we lived in a magical world where I wouldn't get frostbite or freeze to death).

    1. BOLIVAR could be strangely interesting and weird in some way :)
I'd love to have a self-obtaining stronghold in Siberia :)

  10. Hi Dezz - What a great mix you have for us today! I'll pretty much watch anything Disney (offspring forces me to) and Bolivar will be on my radar too.

But what really captured me was the trailer for To the Arctic - simply WOW! And to think...it's just up the hill from me! :)

  11. I'm disappointed that they cancelled 'Terra Nova' as I was getting into it. But I agree with the confused and weak storyline, which could have been soooo much better - more dinosaurs would have helped - ya can never have to many IMO!

    1. I also thought it would be a show about prehistoric nature, dinosaurs and adventure, not about crime. I guess dinosaurs are too expensive to be used in every episode :)

  12. Nuuuuu Terra Nova! I shall never know what was up with the ship prow and why the sixers left for the desert! This show will not get picked up by another network. It was too damned expensive.

    1. maybe if the cut down the expenses a bit? It did have it fans, but we've seen a lot of shows with millions of fans (ROME, LEGEND OF THE SEEKER) getting cancelled for stupid reasons. It's a bit sad that there can be dozens of mediocre crime, law, medical and forensic shows, while adventures, sf and historical shows get cancelled :(

  13. The to the arctic trailer looks awesome! Though I've been spoiled by having David Attenborough narrate all nature documentaries I've seen, so he's a very tough act to follow.

  14. I never watched Terra Nova. Could not get into the dinosaurs for some reason. Maybe because it also starred that godawful guy from that godawful Avatar.

I'll be seeing the pola bears, just not in the theater. I can't stand to pay good money to see nature flicks. I need violence and explosions and other f/x LOL. Color me disturbed. ;)

    1. there weren't many dinosaurs in TERRA NOVA, Melsy, almost none. The guy from AVATAR was actually quite nice in the show, although I'm not a huge fan of the actor. Don't even know his name :)

  20. I love polar bears so I'm not sure I can go see the movie. It makes me sad to know the plight of polar bears and other creatures in the arctic that are drowning because of global warming.

A surprise for me is that the show by Speilberg has been cancelled. Although, I have never seen it, so...
