future. The story of the mini series revolves around the history and future of astronomy and mankind’s impulse for the stars. Idris Elba is considering a potential double role in the project, as the Egyptian polymath Imhotep in 3000 B.C. as well as a brilliant astronomer in the near future. Meanwhile, "Collider" reports that IMMORTALS and MIRROR MIRROR director Tarsem might helm EYE IN THE SKY, a gripping international thriller that follows a group of characters around the globe as they are each impacted by the decision to drop a drone missile on a house in East Africa. The film is supposed to have amazing 62 roles!
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Today you can also check out the first picture of Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen or THE GREEN ARROW in CW's upcoming new super hero show, about a
former billionaire playboy who, after being marooned for five years on a remote island, returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses to fight a war on crime. According to "MovieWeb" after STAR TREK we might get another Gene Roddenberry project soon: his DAYS MISSING might be turned into a TV show or a film trilogy. It brings an accounting of extraordinary 24-hour periods of time that have changed the course of humanity's evolution, but have been erased from human memory by a mystical and ancient being known as The Steward. These "days ,
missing" recorded in the annals of The Steward's library, represent a lost human history that explains much more about who we are than we ever knew. PS and click to see the first look of Hugh Jackman in LES MISERABLES, but only and ONLY if you have guts for it - you won't believe what they did to him, you won't! I dare not look upon it again.

When it comes to trailers, you can check out the first clip for A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN, which premiers May 4th and stars Kate
Hudson in a role a bit more serious than we are used from her. A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN is a love story set in New Orleans about an irreverent young woman who unexpectedly falls in love with her doctor. Marley Corbett (Kate Hudson) is young, beautiful, and wildly funny, but she's afraid of opening herself up to true love and commitment. Though she uses her humor to prevent matters from getting serious, a life-changing visit to her doctor (Gael Garcia Bernal) sends both of them on an eye-opening adventure of mutual discovery, leading to revelations neither thought possible. The cast also includes Whoopi Goldberg and Kathy Bates.
I wouldn't mind seeing "A little bit of heaven" looks pretty good
ReplyDeleteit seems like a touching film
DeleteASCENSION sounds intriguing. And of coarse I can't pass up a great chick flick either so A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN looks great too.
ReplyDeleteglad you liked both projects!
DeleteOh, Hugh! All he's missing is the fifth of bourbon to complete the ensemble. And yet he still somehow looks good. :))
ReplyDeletelooks good? What the hell, sister? :) I almost died when I saw what they did to him, to his hair, to his muscles... he looks like a prison convict :(((( eaten up by fleas and typhus :(
DeleteHe's still got it. Even under the fleas.
Deletethose are some damn happy fleas to be feasting on him :)
DeleteI am in love with Idris' and Kate's new projects. They sound wonderful. And it is so good to see Peter Dinklage in there as well. I adore him. So smart and passionate and defying stereotypes.
ReplyDeleteI find Idris' project intriguing as well, hope they manage to make it!
DeleteCan't say I like Dinklage, he's always the same in all roles, I mean his approach to roles is identical. Don't like him, especially not in GOT, but I know he has his fans.
Idris is such a good actor...isn't he playing Nelson Mandella soon?
ReplyDeletemaybe, I'm not sure, there's a number of Mandella projects out there in the near future :)
DeleteI love that you decided to join in Dez =)
ReplyDeleteHere's your question (also posted on my blog):
What inspired your interest in movies enough to create a website devoted to them?
My answer might be a bit deeper and maybe unexpected :) When I was a little kid I was pretty much left on my own, my parents weren't much involved in my upbringing, so the thing that pretty much raised me was TV :) As weird as it may sound :) I was raised by TV and films, and I had that luck to be growing up in the 80's which means that my development as a person was influenced by warm family shows and sitcoms and films from that decade. That is how I actually learned English and how I became what I am today as a person.
DeleteAnd this website is also the only way for me to have friends all around the world. And also I wanted to create a film site which would promote creative and positive movies, and avoid dark and morbid ones, which is why you will see TWILIGHT, DARK KNIGHT, TARANTINO, NOLLAN, FINCHER, HUNGER GAMES banned here. Somebody needs to fight for light and hope and this is my contribution.
I don't think it's weird at all. So many kids are raised in front of the television these days, but what you did was take that and use it to your advantage. You learned a language from it and you also chose to learn life lessons and morals from it too. I had no idea that you banned any type of movies from here either. I LOVE that Dez, absolutely love it!! I'm so blown away by this answer. Thank you much for sharing this part of you with us!
Deleteglad you liked the answer :) Yes, some films, directors and actors will never appear at HOLLYWOOD SPY. It's not censorship, just the fight against irresponsible darkness in movies and books. People in the west are not aware how much dark films actually influence their vision of reality later on and how it makes them numb to real suffering, deaths and violence. And becoming numb is the worst thing that can happen to humanity.
DeleteWasn't expecting that in "Little Bit Of Heaven" but it does look good.
ReplyDeleteAlso, love Elba in Luther so I'm excited to see him in a movie.
it is a bit deeper than we expected, yes? :)
DeleteOo, the Green Arrow, I'll be looking forward to that.
ReplyDeleteme too!
DeleteDays Interesting sounds like a good idea, should be quite interesting. Not sure on the Green Arrow as they go all dark and dreary, but you never know.
ReplyDeleteit sounds like a very complex and ambitious project since they want to shoot a film trilogy too.
DeleteA green arrow show hmmmm that could be sweet. 1st Hawkeye, then Hunger Games now Green Arrow, time to invest in bows and arrows I think.
ReplyDeleteand don't forget Daryl from THE WALKING DEAD :)) and Legolas from LOTR
DeleteHow could I forget those two!
Delete:))
DeleteGreen arrow, could be nice. Nice trailer too, could be a nice film.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked the trailer, Simon!
DeleteI always get the Green Arrow confused with the Green Lantern. Why couldn't they have picked another colour? There's lots!
ReplyDeleteand there's GREEN HORNET too :)))
DeleteI love Idris Elba, more success in his career makes me a happy camper :)
ReplyDeletehe is quite the charmer :)
DeleteElba is awesome, so Ascension is going to be kickass!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of Green Arrow - I'm glad they're going with a darker vibe than in the comics.
keeping fingers crossed that the show ends up being good
DeleteThat guy looks like he could be a boxer.
ReplyDeletehe sure does
DeleteHoly Christ Dez, what are you trying to do? Burn out my retina's with that picture of Hugh. The horror, the horror. Ascension looks like it has real potential as a mini-series. But A Little Bit of Heaven is a no go for me. I'd rather watch science fiction because we know that's not true, but some women actually believe that romance movies have some relationship to reality. It's a crime against humanity to make these things.
ReplyDeletecan't say I agree, Annzie. I'm the biggest supporter of romantic films since they are the only ones which can actually save someone's life by giving optimism and hope and warmth even through a dream. Dream is sometimes invaluable.
DeleteAs far as I got it, Kate plays a cancer patient in the film, so the film also gives hope and inspiration to real cancer patients as well.
I see your perspective Dez, I'm coming from the viewpoint of talking to a lot of married women who are unhappy, just because the rush of first attraction has worn off. And their answer to this very normal thing is to look for romance like in the movies. I'm serious about this, they actually leave good husbands or cheat because their marriages aren't like in these movies.
DeleteI believe in dreams too Dez and you are always a positive force here on blogger and I appreciate you for it.
I see that, Annzie, there really are some crazy ladies who will seek televized perfection and dreams and illusions. It's true. Still, there are more of those who will use romcoms to get inspired for doing something nice with their lives.
DeleteAs a psychologist I actually know a few people who decided not to commit a suicide because a romantic film they've seen gave them hope to search for love and optimism in their reality. That's the secret power of films.
Idris Elba is great!! He should be in every film ever made!! :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL :)
DeleteThanks for the LES MIS link. I think that's an appropriate look for him for the beginning of the film/story. Fresh off 19 years of hard labor, hastily-shorn hair, long scraggly beard, dirty, scars. I knew he could do it. I fear for the Russell Crowe look for Javert, though.
ReplyDeleteASCENSION sounds fabulous. As does DAYS MISSING.
I knew you would be the first one to click it :)
DeleteI myself can't wait to see Eddie Redmayne in it, you know how much I love that kid.
Days missing sounds very interesting.
ReplyDeleteit sure does!
Deletei'm with joshua. glad to see they aren't just trying to make him look inappropriately pretty in certain scenes!
ReplyDeleteand i agree with you about redmayne- mad talent that kid has!
mad mad mad, sister! I could watch him for hours.
DeleteKate Hudson seems to have been away from our cinema screens for a while. Or maybe I've just missed her. I'm not too fond of her performances so far although she was okay in Almost Famous. She doesn't have either of her parents' vitality on screen.
ReplyDeleteshe did have films but mostly unnoticed :) She is kinda like Cameron Diaz, cute and funny, but hasn't shown anything impressive and has no big role in her CV.
DeleteI think the LES MISERABLES Hugh Jackman is the definitive Hugh Jackman!
ReplyDeleteyou tell them :)
DeleteI was looking forward to this project... I'd like to know what's happened to this mini-series "Ascension"...??
ReplyDeleteThis was ten years ago so it is safe to say it is dead as dodo.
DeleteThat's a shame!! Thank you so much for your response. Have a blessed day
