FOR A DRAMA STARRING JAI COURTNEY AND GEOFFREY RUSH
A trailer and the gorgeous first poster have been released for Australian drama STORM BOY which hits cinemas Down Under next January starring Geoffrey Rush and Jai Courtney!
STORM BOY, based on the beloved book by Colin Thiele, is a highly
emotional tale of a young boy (Finn Little) growing up on the beautiful
but uninhabited coastline of Southern Australia who unexpectedly rescues
and then raises three orphaned pelicans. When he forms a close bond
with them, he finds himself at odds with his fisherman father and his
life takes a new and unexpected turn. Jai Courtney plays his protective
father who removes himself and his son from society and chooses to live
on the remote coastline of the Coorong. Geoffrey Rush plays old Storm
Boy who recounts the story to his granddaughter.
Two drama trailers for you today, both depicting unusual male relationships in a very interesting way, starting with the first one for THE FINAL PORTRAIT which Stanley Tucci both wrote and
His "Pointing Man" was sold for ridiculous $126 million
directed, out August in UK and Germany.
Geoffrey Rush plays Swiss painter and sculptor Alberto Giacometti
who, back in Paris, 1964, bumps into his old friend, the American
critic, James Lord (Armie Hammer), and begs that he sits for a portrait
because he has an interesting face. It'll just take a couple of days in
his studio. Lord is flattered by the request and as the days go by and
turn into weeks and weeks seemingly with no end in sight he realises his
entire life has been hijacked by this erratic genius. The portrait
continues to ebb and flow. Veering between frustration and joy, Lord
ultimately sees logic in the artist's chaotic mind and together we
witness a genius complete one of his last masterpieces.
'GOD'S OWN COUNTRY'
GORGEOUS FIRST TRAILER OUT!
Another beautiful drama, out September 1st, just got its first trailer too - GOD'S OWN COUNTRY! Spring. Yorkshire. Isolated young sheep farmer Johnny Saxby (Josh O'Connor) numbs his daily frustrations
Both actors lived on a farm for several weeks before shooting the film
with binge drinking and casual sex, until the arrival of a Romanian migrant worker Gheorghe (Alec Secareanu), employed for the lambing season, ignites an intense relationship that sets Johnny on a new path.

1ST 'KEEPERS' PHOTOS
GERARD BUTLER THRILLER First photos have also been released for Gerard Butler's thriller
KEEPERS inspired by the Flannan Isle mystery. A small relief boat
approaches the Isle, a tiny isolated island 20 miles off a rugged coast.
Its aim is to routinely replace the three lighthouse keepers, after 6
weeks alone manning the light. It nears the dock and none of the men
greet them. The winch is broken. A call. Nothing. Experienced keepers
Thomas, James and Donald have vanished. The lamps are clean and
refilled; the table is laid for dinner. There is an upturned chair. Two
sets of yellow oilskins are missing. The men were never found. Peter
Mullan also stars.
1ST 'GUERNSEY' PICS WITH
MICHIEL HUISMAN & LILY JAMES
Two photos with Michiel Huisman and Lily James from the big screen adaptation of GUERNSEY are also here. Directed by Mike Newell it is the film version of Annie Barrows' Guernsey Potato Peel Pie and Literary Society that also stars Jessica Brown Findlay, Penelope Wilton, Glen Powell and Matthew Goode.
STORIES OF WORLD WAR 2 Lily James plays a writer who forms an unexpected bond with the
residents of Guernsey Island in the aftermath of World War II when she
decides to write a book about their experiences during the war.
Two of our favourite ladies in the same movie together: Toni Collette and Whoopi Goldberg will star in comedy movie SHRIVER alongside Thomas Haden Church who plays a loner mistaken for a renowned but reclusive author. He suddenly finds himself the centre of attention at a writer’s conference celebrating the 20th anniversary of the book written by the real author. SHRIVER takes on the mistaken identity while sparking a romance with the English professor who runs the conference and is about to pull it all off when the real Shriver appears. It will be an adaptation of a Chris Belden novel of the same title.
'THE GUINEA PIG CLUB'
SAM NEIL, JEREMY IRVINE JOIN RICHARD E. GRANT'S WW2 FILM Meanwhile, a rather nice cast has been assembled for period set drama
THE GUINEA PIG CLUB as well: as ' Deadline' reports, Richard E. Grant,
Sam Neil and Jeremy Irvine will star in the remarkable true story of
maverick surgeon Archie McIndoe (Richard E. Grant) who, at the height of
World War II, defied the British establishment with his radical methods
aimed at healing the severely burned bodies – and more importantly the
tortured souls – of Britain’s heroic Royal Air Force pilots. In doing
so, he risks his career, his reputation and his marriage.
'STORM BOY' CASTS
GEOFFREY RUSH, JAI COURTNEY
Even more Australian stars will be seen in Australian family movie STORM BOY in which Geoffrey Rush will play Mike “Storm Boy” Kingley, who recounts his childhood adventures to troubled teen granddaughter Madeline in an effort to prevent her from making the same mistakes he made years before. Jai Courtney will play Hideaway Tom, a protective father who, after the untimely death of his wife and daughter, removes himself and his son from society to live on a remote isolated coastline.
'IN LIKE FLYNN' BIOPIC
CASTS A STELLAR ENSEMBLE All the rest of our favourite Australian hunks will, meanwhile, join
the cast of Errol Flynn's biopic IN LIKE FLYNN! Thomas Cocquerel will
play him in the years before he became famous star during his
roust about early life in Australia, before he became an internationally
famed celebrity. In those days he was an adventurer, opium smuggler,
gambler, street fighter, womanizer, and gold prospector. Also starring
William Moseley, Clive Standen, Callan Mulvey, Isabel Lucas, Costas
Mandylor, David Wenham and Dan Fogler, it will see young Flynn's
magnetism inspiring a rag-tag team of friends to set sail on a thrilling
adventure in search of elusive New Guinea gold.
Here's something that is coming up as soon as next week: National Geographic will start airing their new scripted series GENIUS Tuesday April 25th around the world! The series will see acting legend Geoffrey Rush playing famous scientist Albert Einstein and since it is imagined as anthology series the second season has already been ordered and it is expected that the new GENIUS they will be dealing with in the second season, some of other great minds of the world, will be announced during the finale of the first season this summer June 20th.
TIME IS BUT A STUBBORN ILLUSION Based on the Walter Isaacson book Einstein: His Life and Universe GENIUS is National Geographic's first ever scripted series, executive
produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, with Howard also directing the
first episode. The all-star cast includes Geoffrey Rush as mature
Professor Einstein, Johnny Flynn as Albert in his youth and Emily Watson
as the scientist’s second wife, and first cousin, Elsa Einstein. Over
10 episodes, the series takes Einstein’s story beyond the halls of
academia to explore his struggles to be a good husband and father, and a
man of principle during a period of global unrest. His daringly
creative mind often landed him in trouble with his loved ones and peers,
but also helped him to usher in ground breaking discoveries that
reshaped modern science. Beside describing how he achieved his
scientific theories the series will also offer a look into his theories
on human relationships which includes his theory of infidelity. It
charts how Albert Einstein, an imaginative, rebellious patent clerk who
struggled to land an academic post in his early years, went on to become
the greatest scientific mind of the 20th century, all while juggling
volatile, passionate and complex personal relationships!
HOOVER, MUMMY AND MILEVA
T.R. Knight will star as J. Edgar Hoover, whose FBI amassed an enormous file on Einstein in an attempt to prove that he was a “subversive” and a secret communist! Claire Rushbrook will play Pauline Einstein, Albert’s mother. Samantha Cooley plays Serbian scientist Mileva Maric who became Einstein's first wife and mother of his three children and is believed to have been the creator of a lot of his theories.
