A new trailer and poster have been released for Hulu's and ITV's period set rival brothels series HARLOTS which will premiere March 29th lead by Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville and Jessica Brown Findlay!

Set against the backdrop of 18th century Georgian London, 8 part HARLOTS  follows Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton) and her daughters, as she struggles to reconcile her roles as mother and brothel owner. When her business comes under attack from Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville), a rival madam with a ruthless streak, Margaret will fight back, even if it means putting her family at risk. Brown Findlay will star as Charlotte, Margaret’s eldest daughter and the city’s most coveted courtesan who begins to grapple with her position in both society and her immediate family.

The first trailer has been released for William Moseley's THE LITTLE MERMAID in which he plays a young reporter who travels to a small town in Mississippi to find the young girl that has been rumoured to be the real Little Mermaid (Poppy Drayton). Once there he tries to save THE LITTLE MERMAID from the nefarious carnival leader who has captured part of the mermaid's soul. Shirley MacLaine also stars.

OCEAN MASTER IN 'AQUAMAN'

If you ask me - one of the very few of the true American thespians, our dearly beloved Patrick Wilson has just joined AQUAMAN movie in which Jason Momoa will play master of the seas! It seems his whole family will be in it, since, beside Amber Heard who will be playing his wife queen Mera of Atlantis, Patrick will be playing his evil brother and the main villain in the movie. He will be his half brother Orm, or Ocean Master. He is fully human, extremely powerful and wants the throne of Atlantis himself. In other words, he is AQUAMAN's Loki. Willem Dafoe is also in the cast and will be playing scientist from Atlantis Nuidis Vulko! The movie will surf up October 2018. almost two years from now.

 CHRIS EVANS'S 'JEKYLL' TO

I can't believe it, but another true American thespian and another of our favourite hunks, Chris Evans, is in the news today as well, talk about a hot post: Ruben Fleischer has been brought to direct him in JEKYLL based on BBC's TV series. It is the modern version of the doctor with split personality who lives in a fortified basement with a psychiatric nurse as his ally. She watches him transform into an alter ego who rages, shows heightened strength and speed and can be a charming, flirtatious scoundrel as well. The two personalities try to co-exist, even though one doesn’t remember what the other does while in control of the body. They use a micro cassette to leave messages for each other. As you know, Universal is preparing another JEKYLL project with Russell Crowe.

Remember how just a week or so ago I told you that National Geographic is preparing GENIUS series on Einstein? Now lead star Geoffrey Rush has been joined by a really strong cast including Emily Watson, Vincent Kartheiser, Seth Gabel, Samantha Colley, Michael McElhatton... 

Each of the ten episodes will explore Einstein’s extraordinary scientific achievements, along with his volatile, passionate and complex personal relationships as an imaginative, rebellious patent clerk, who couldn’t get a teaching job or a doctorate, unlocked the mysteries of the atom and the universe. Seth Gabel will play his confidante Michele Besso; Colley portrays Serbian scientist Mileva Maric, who later became his first wife and many believe she came up with most of his theories. Vincent Kartheiser will  be a consulate official in Berlin. Rush and Johnny Flynn play Einstein at different ages.

She and her best friend, played by Jessica Lange, then take off, only to become media sensations and fugitives from justice. Casting news to start the week, people, beginning with our dear Jonathan Rhys Meyers who always chooses deeply spiritual roles and this new one isn't different: according to 'Deadline' he will lead the cast in SHAMBHALA in which the story follows the sole survivor of a plane crash in the mountains of Pakistan who must deal with that trauma against the backdrop of an alien culture and language. The story will be told non chronologically, emphasizing themes of enlightenment and redemption. Australian/ Indian actress Pallavi Sharda and HOMELAND's Akshay Kumar will also star! You will next watch Meyers in Roland Emmerich's STONEWALL!

Meanwhile, Mark Pellington will helm comedy drama THE LAST WORD starring Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried. The story will follow a retired businesswoman named Harriett (Shirley MacLaine) who wants to control everything around her until the bitter end and decides to write her own obituary to make sure her life is told the way she wants it to be. But when Anne (Amanda Seyfried), a young writer at the local newspaper, is assigned to the task, she refuses to follow the script and instead insists on finding out the true facts about Harriett’s life. The pair then set out to uncover the ups and downs of Harriett’s life, initially as reluctant partners, and what begins as an attempt to shape her own legacy turns out to be a reawakening of passions for Harriett — and a life altering friendship for Anne.
