  To start shooting in Turkey this January, the movie, inspired by real events, will chart UK PM Winston Churchill’s and James Bond scribe Ian Fleming’s secret WWII combat organization. The clandestine squad’s unconventional and entirely ‘ungentlemanly’ fighting techniques against the Nazis helped change the course of the war and in part gave birth to the modern Black Ops unit. Based on war correspondent and military historian Damien Lewis’ popular book of the same name, the movie will also feature a whole gallery of colourful characters.

Speaking of Henry, Netflix has just confirmed that he will be leaving their THE WITCHER epic TV series after season three that has already been shot, and Liam Hemsworth will take over the role in season four. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam's take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Gorgeous Falk Hentschel (who starred in STREET DANCE, AGENTS OF SHIELD and worked as Mariah Carey's dancer) will play the winged hero, a reincarnation of an Egyptian emperor, who has lived on for centuries alongside his ladylove Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée). Hawkman is capable of sprouting wings by tapping into the power of the ancient hawk god Horus. As I reported before LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will unite a number of superheroes from the other two shows and some new ones who will together battle common enemies. Wentworth Miller, Brandon Routh and Dominic Purcel also star.

RETURNING TO THE BIG SCREENS
After WARCRAFT, which is arriving into theatres next summer, it seems another hugely popular fantasy world game will be turned into a movie. Hasbro and Warner Bros. will turn DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS into a huge epic movie. With the script already written by RED RIDING HOOD and WRATH OF THE TITANS' David Leslie Johnson (can't believe he is still working after those two writing atrocities), the movie is slated for 2019 release! Some fifteen years ago New Line made an unsuccessful movie out of it which spawned tons of DVD sequels. That one was set in the empire of Izmer populated by mages, magic users, empresses, dragons, dwarves and elves.

Now, here's a treat for all of you Agatha Christie fans: Aidan Turner, who is currently shining bright in POLDARK, will star in BBC's three part mystery AND THEN THERE WERE NONE! The filming has already begun and the cast is incredibly star studded! Coming from POLDARK producers the drama is set in 1939 following a group of people who come to Soldier Island, an isolated rock near the Devon coast. Cut off from the mainland, with their generous hosts mysteriously absent, they are each accused of a terrible crime. When one of the party dies suddenly they realise they may be harbouring a murderer among their number.

 One by one they are picked off by a killer who seems to be taunting the victims with an ominous nursery rhyme.

Liam's role is unknown, but Goldblum will return to the role of computer expert David Levinson, while Usher will play the son of Will Smith's (who is not returning) character from the first movie. The movie should be out next June exactly 20 years after the first one broke all possible records in the cinemas.

Deadline reports of a third new fantasy adaptation: Scott Rudin has bought the rights on Kazuo Ishiguro's epic novel THE BURIED GIANT which follows a couple in a semi historical Medieval Britain as they venture forth across a war ravaged landscape in search of a son they haven’t seen in years. Ishiguro's first book in a decade has fantasy elements, including a dragon, spectacular battle sequences and a panoramic backdrop.

Fresh rumours from Hollywood today say that two of the huge future projects have put their eyes on possible lead stars. Young Liam Hemsworth has allegedly received an offer from 20th Century Fox to lead INDEPEN- DENCE DAY II which will again be helmed by Roland Emmerich with the premiere date set for June 2016 which is exactly twenty years after the original! Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum and Randy Quaid are all expected to return to their original roles! Michael B. Jordan might also join the cast!

Meanwhile, over at Disney, they apparently want GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY star Chris Pratt to take over INDIANA JONES adventure franchise from Harrison Ford! As 'Deadline' reports, HBO has ordered a pilot episode of Elton John produced musical drama VIRTUOSO with the story set in the 18th century! With the production scheduled to begin this May in Hungarian capital Budapest, the story of the hour-long period drama will go on in 18th century Vienna, revolving around a class of young musicians attending the prestigious Academy of Musical Excellence. To be written by TRUE BLOOD's Alan Ball who will also direct and produce, VIRTUOSO already has the cast chosen: Peter Macdissi will play the lead, composer and teacher Antonio Salieri, who runs the musical conservatory. Iva Babic will play Leonid, a Russian cello prodigy. Francois Civil will play Isidoro, a Spanish guitar and flute prodigy. Lindsay Farris is Heinrich, an Austrian piano prodigy, our dear THE VILLAGE star Nico Mirallegro is Franz, an Austrian self-taught violin prodigy. Alex Lawther is Battista, an Italian castrato prodigy.

'SEACOLE' PERIOD SET BIOPIC

In period movie news, 'The Hollywood Reporter' writes today that Oscar winner Octavia Spencer will take the lead role in SEACOLE historical biopic in which the story revolves around Mary SEACOLE, a pioneering Jamaican doctress who battled prejudice to play a key role in the Crimean War, rivalling Florence Nightingale.The film, to be helmed by Charlie Stratton (IN SECRET) will reunite her with THE HELP producer Brunson Green.

Seacole was born in 1805 to a free Jamaican woman and a Scottish officer. She followed in her mother's footsteps and became a nurse versed in traditional Caribbean and African herbal remedies. When the Crimean War broke out, she applied to be a nurse for the British government, but her request was denied. She paid her own passage to the Crimean Peninsula and set up a hotel for soldiers.

With less than a month before the big premiere at Netflix, new historical series MARCO POLO has got its first poster with Lorenzo Richelmy as the famed explorer whose adventures in Kublai Khan's court in 13th century China (a world replete with greed, betrayal,   sexual intrigue and rivalry) are in the focus of the show. In the Harvey Weinstein produced ten episode series, Zhu Zhu plays Marco’s love interest Kokachin, Joan Chen is Empress Chabi and Benedict Wong is Kublai Khan.

'40 THIEVES' EPIC ADVENTURE

According to 'The Wrap' 20th Century Fox is still planning their new big screen take on legendary ALI BABA AND THE 40 THIEVES oriental tale! Titled FORTY THIEVES it is currently screen testing Liam Hemsworth, DOWNTON ABBEY'S Dan Stevens and Evan Peters (X MEN DAYS OF FUTURE PAST) for the lead role in the epic adventure movie with strong comedic undertones! Liam Hemsworth was mentioned for the role a few years ago too when the project was called ARABIAN NIGHTS and was supposed to star Anthony Hopkins as well, but now the studio is planning the film as just a part of a possible seven movie franchise which would follow famous 1001 ARABIAN NIGHTS stories! Shawn Levy (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) is directing the movie!

Talking about rumoured castings for the huge future projects, dashing SPARTACUS star Jai Courtney is rumoured to be Floyd Lawton or Deadshot, a master marksman, in DC Comics' supervillain movie SUICIDE SQUAD which will assemble some of the biggest villains in one team with Margot Robbie rumoured to be Harley Quinn, Jared Leto The Joker, Will Smith as Captain Boomerang, Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor!
